My birthday

AN-So sorry I haven't published in a while, I hope this chapter will make up for it! This chapter is going to be long because there is so much I want to put in this chapter!!

I woke up in my empty cabin. Nico still wasn't back. I stood up and dressed myself in black jeans and a old grey shirt. As I walked out the door I was ambushed, "Happy Birthday!!" I saw the familiar faces of Leo, Jason, Piper, but no Nico. I decided not to let my Nico problem get me in a bad mood. "Hey guys!" I exclaimed. "Happy Birthday love, we wanted to surprise you and give you our gifts" Leo said joyfully. "You guys didn't have to get me anything you know" I explained. "Well we did" Piper told me. "I will go first, here" Jason smiled as he handed me a large rectangular case that looked like it should hold a... I opened it and inside lay a beautiful sword. It was silver with some engraved writing that read, "This sword shall bring good fortune to the one whom uses it in battle."I hugged Jason, "thank you so much!" "No problem."
"Me next!" Piper exclaimed. She handed me a...makeup bag full of different types of makeup. Typical daughter of Aphrodite. "Thanks Piper," I laughed. She winked, "no problem." Jason and Piper quickly said they had to go and rushed off, leaving Leo and I alone. "So love, what do you say about going on a date with me... there's a dance that the camp is holding tonight, and-" I cut him off by pressing my lips against his. When I pulled away he grinned, "I'm guessing that's a 'yes Leo I will go with you'?" I hugged him, "you know it is."

Leo and I walked to breakfast hand in hand. "Are you exited for tonight?" Leo grinned, "you bet." I walked to my table to eat breakfast. Nico was still gone, what could be so important that he would miss her birthday for. A tear rolled down my cheek, her first birthday that she actually had a brother to celebrate it with and he wasn't here.
"Hey Amanda!" Piper greeted. "Hey Piper, what's up?" She grinned, "Jason asked me out to the dance, and told me Leo asked you too. Do you want to go shop for a dress in the mortal world with me and some friends?" I smiled, "sounds great, when do we leave?"

"I can't believe that Chiron is actually letting us go into the mortal world!" A tall blond girl with grey eyes exclaimed. "Yeah!" Piper announced. "Are we meeting Hazel at the store?" A punk like girl asked. "I think so," Piper replied. "Who's this?" The blond girl asked pointing to me. "This is Amanda Storm daughter of Hades," Piper announced. I love how Piper accepts me for who I am even though some of the campers dislike me because of who my father is. "Hi Amanda, I'm Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena, and that's Thalia daughter of Zeus," the blond girl said pointing to herself and the punk girl who's name was Thalia. "Nice to meet you! Who is this Hazel girl we are meeting?" I asked. "You will just love Hazel! She is daughter of  Pluto" Piper explained. Wow... I have a sister, that's new. "Why wasn't she at camp?" I asked. Piper giggled, "she went on a trip with her boyfriend!" I gave a fake smile. "Piper you're releasing your inner Aphrodite" Thalia stated. "Ops," Piper giggled.
The trip was short, by about 15 minutes we had make it to Macy's. "Wow look at all of these dresses!" Piper squealed. "Where's Hazel?" Annabeth asked. "Over there," Thalia announced.
I saw a girl with chocolate brown skin and light, curly brown hair make he way towards us. "Piper, Annabeth, Thalia! It so good to see you all" she said. "Who is this?" Hazel asked pointed to me. "This is Amanda Storm, your newest sibling" Piper explained. Hazel look sad and happy at the same time as she hugged me tight. "How's Nico?" She asked as we searched for a dress. I frowned, "well I don't really know. He got upset at Leo and attacked him, but I got hurt. Leo said that Nico carried me to the Chiron then took off to the Underworld. I haven't seen him since." "Oh" was all she said before she went back to dress shopping, I decided I should do the same. I had picked out a lovely dress, it was a dark purple strapless dress that went down to a little above my knees. Right as I came out of the dressing room I heard all 3 girls say the same thing, "Wow." I blushed, "guys I don't look very good, you don't have to pretend to make me feel good." Piper looked slightly angered, "as the daughter of Aphrodite, I know when a girl looks good, and you truly do." I smiled, "You guys look extremely stunning as well."
Annabeth had on a long sleeve grey/silver dress that went down to her knees, Piper had on a pink flowing dress that went down to her ankles and last, Hazel had on a slightly casual light blue dress with short sleeves. We all were going to look amazing tonight.
"Guys come on! We have to get back to camp and get ready the dance is in an hour" Annabeth rushed us as we made our way back to camp.

We had gotten back to camp 20 minutes ago and Piper was trying to get me ready. "Your hair won't stay put," she whined. "Piper it's fine, I will just leave it down." I told her, but she argued, "You have to look like a super model...I mean you already do but-Leo must be impressed!"
After about 15 minutes Piper finally had my hair up in a messy but somehow neat bun. She had tried to smother my face with makeup but I hadn't let her, but after lots of complaining, she had done some light makeup on my face. "We look stunning!" Annabeth stated. The girls started to leave to go find their dates,
"I'm going to meet Frank"
"I'm going to meet Percy"
"I'm going to meet Jason."
And I was the last one left, Leo had said he would come get me from my cabin, but I didn't know when. "Amanda?" I voice said along with a knock on my cabin door. I opened the door and found Leo standing there in a black suit, his hair as messy as ever, and holding a very tiny black box.
"Happy Birthday Love, I made it myself," he opened the box and inside was a silver ring with a small heart that had the writing  A&L on it. "Leo it's beautiful" I announced slipping it on my finger and jumping into his arms. "A beautiful ring for a beautiful woman," he grinned. I looked him dead in the eyes and he slammed his lips against mine. It was the most amazing feeling, like fireworks were going off inside me.
