Saiko's POV

Day after day...

Month after month...

Its all the damn same.

I'm sick and tired of seeing their scared faces, and eyes of hatred.

I would say, 'I just want to go home' but...

What is home? I have nobody. No one is there to help me.

I sighed, picking at the inside of my straitjacket. I can hear the familiar sound of the chains squeezing my body, ensuring that I cant escape--although I stopped trying after the 2nd year.

But wait. I can hear something. What is that? Footsteps... Not angry, psychotic ones, but calm. Collected. Who is here? The tapping of shoes echo through the halls, getting louder.

They stopped. I can hear a man on the other side of the door say, "Open it."

The large metal door opens to reveal a man in a suit with black spikey hair and brown eyes. I stayed silent as we had a mini staring contest, staring into each others eyes.

"I like them..." I mumble, voice hoarse from the constant screaming and lack of use. He looked , at me confused while the other men looked at him in surprise, murmuring things like, "She spoke!" and "He got her to talk!"

"Your eyes...They hold no hatred, nor fear. I enjoy your presence." His eyes softened a tiny bit and he blinked.

I win.

"Saiko, no surname, I presume?" He asked smiling slightly. I just nodded.

"My name is Karasuma.I am here to inform you that 70% of the moon has been blown to bits by an octopus looking creature. He has made a threat that he will do the same thing to the Earth approximately around March." He spoke.

"So?" I looked down so he can't see my eyes. "Everyone on this damned Earth can die for all I care."

"Is that so?" He said. He seemed amused. "The octopus looking creature requested that he becomes a teacher of a specific class in Japan. He said that if the students cannot kill him by graduation then he will blow up the Earth. We need your help to kill him. That's why I'm here. I am here to get you to agree to do this."

"You mean...I'll get to leave...?" I look at him hopefully. He nodded with a slight smile.

I contemplated it for a minute then looked at him.

"I'll do it."

Nagisa's POV

I was walking to school with Karma and Isogai. We were nearing the school when we saw police cars and many military vehicles.

"What's going on?" I said aloud to no one in particular. Isogai and Karma just shrugged. That's when Karma spoke up, "Hey look"

He pointed to one of the military trucks to see a kid about our age with long blonde hair. Sadly, most of her face covered, so we couldn't see what she looks like. She tied up in a straitjacket and a metal collar around her neck that has metal bars sticking out of it, where a few people are holding her in place.

They started walking past the school and up the hill leading to our classroom. We all looked at each other.

"New student maybe?" Isogai suggested.

But would they go that far to kill Kurosensei?

Many of the cars and trucks started to pull away except one. Isogai, Karma, and I walked up the mountain, talking about the mystery girl.

We finally made it to the top of the mountain. Many students were already here, most also talking about the blonde girl. We met up with Nakamura and Kaede and decieded to go to class.

Class is about to start. Kurosensei just finished calling roll when he suddenly started sweating a bit. "O-okay class. We are having a new student today." He motioned towards the door and yelled, "Come in!"

The door slid open, all eyes on the familiar blonde girl. I got a more clear look at her face now. Although her bangs covered her eyes, she is quite cute but not really my type.

"Class, this is Saiko. She will be joining us from now on." Kurosensei said as the men dressed in military uniforms started undoing the chains on her bright orange straitjacket. The chains fell to the ground with a 'thud', cracking the floor a bit. They then started unzipping her straitjacket. Her arms slid out of the sleeves and she instantly started stretching.

Her clothing consisted of a black tank top and orange pants (The kind you would see on prisoners), and she isn't wearing any sort of shoe. Her hair was in double french braids. She yawned and looked around--as if scanning us, revealing her eyes to everyone.

"Tch..." Her eyes traveled around to all of us and finally to Kurosensei, but he was in his gloop-like substance state in the corner.

"That's the thing I have to kill?" She spoke in English, looking at Karasuma. I am familiar with the language but I don't know really anything, only basic phrases. I could tell that is how everyone else is because of their looks of confusion Except Nakamura of course. Karasuma nodded at the girl.

A look of remembrance crossed Karasuma's face as he said, "Oh! By the way, here is your uniform."

Saiko's POV

Karasuma handed me a neatly folded uniform inside of a plastic wrapper and a pair of knee high socks and shoes. "Bathroom?" I said. Karasuma guided me to the bathroom.

Rio's POV

"Nakamura, you are very good at speaking English. I would like you to be Saiko's personal translator. Will you do it?" Kurosensei asked me.

"What?! Why me?!" I yelled in protest. "I will repeat. You are the only one in the class who knows English. Please?" He begged.

"But she is insane! I don't want to be anywhere near her! You saw how they had her chained up!" I responded.

Kurosensei just stared at me for a moment. "Nakamura. She cannot speak Japanese, unlike you and everyone else in this room. I am asking you not as a deadly octopus, but as your teacher. Will you please be her translator?"

I sighed, "Fine..."

Almost as if planned, Saiko walked into the room as soon as I agreed, now wearing our schools uniform.
