Also character specific, to kind of make up for the last one maybe.

'Doesn't it bother you?' Adi asks Sid as they both look at the pair cuddled up on the sofa.

'Why would it bother me?'

'She was your girlfriend, he's your best friend. Kinda goes against bro code.'

'Adi, they aren't together.' Sid states, turning his gaze away from his two friends.

'Together or not, he shouldn't be behaving that way with his best friend's ex.' Adi persists.

'They've always been that way and they always will be. I can't change that and I don't want to. It's the way things are supposed to be.'

'If you really believe that, why were you with her?'

'Because I thought I could change it and learnt the hard way that it's a bad idea. She's always been his and he's always been hers, right from the start, and nobody will ever be able to change that.' he explains, smiling as laughter begins to fill the room, along with the sound of Varun telling Alia to stop tickling him, apologising for whatever it is he'd said.

'It really doesn't bother you?' Adi asks again

'Not in the slightest. I just hope they realise it too.'

'Realise what?'

'That they committed themselves a long time ago, with promises of immortal friendship and vows to always be there for each other.'

'Vows?' Adi repeats, a little shocked at Sid's choice of words.

'Well, they certainly sounded like vows but I wasn't supposed to have heard it so I never asked.' he expands with a chuckle as he remembers the day he'd heard the pair promising to never let something come between them, hidden away in one of the rec rooms.
