"If I gave you my hand would you take it, and make me the happiest man in the world. If I told you my heart couldn't beat one more minute without you, girl. Would you accompany me to the edge of the sea, let me know if you're really a dream. I love you so, so would you go with me."

I groan as I roll over in bed and see the clock. It's 3:02 am, I start to swing my legs over the edge of the bed but feel a hand on my shoulder stopping me. I look over my shoulder finding Owen sitting up next to me, "Go back to sleep, I'll go check on him." He says kissing my cheek and gently pulling my shoulder back down. I nod over at my husband and watch as he walks out the bedroom door to comfort the screaming one year old. I close my eyes with a smile on my face and drift back to sleep.
When I wake up a few hours later Owen's side of the bed is empty. I sit up stretching my arms out and swing my feet off the bed. I look down at my left hand adjusting the ring that sits there, so it faces upwards again. Climbing out of bed I pull the blankets back up to the pillows and walk over to the other side repeating the process. Walking out of the bedroom and down the hall I slowly open the door to my old room, that Jenna now has a room. I see her laying sideways across her bed with her with her stuffed dog held tight in her grip. Walking back out and closing the door I walk down to the next room. I walk in and over to the crib and look down at Austin. I smile at his slightly open mouth and watch as his eyes slowly blink open. "Hey, there Little Dude. Are you ready to get up and find daddy?" He blinks up at me with his big blue eyes, matching mine. A silly smile pops up on his lips as he giggles rolling onto his belly and using the side bars on the crib to sit up. He reaches his tiny hands up, so I bend and pick him up resting him on my hip. "Alright lets go see if we can find daddy." I walk out of his room and down the stairs walking into the kitchen, Austin starts wiggling and pointing to the front door. I follow where his finger is pointing and see Owen standing and talking with Logan. I set him down and laugh as he tries to run but trips looses his balance falling onto his butt. He sits looking confused with his mouth in a big O shape before looking at me. I reach my hand down and help him back up, and as soon as he's on his feet he waddles his way over to where Owen stands. I follow after him and watch as Owen reaches down scooping Austin up and holding him above his head. Austin begins to belly laugh and flap his arms around, until Owen brings him back down shifting him onto his hip. He smiles over at me, and as I reach his side presses a kiss to my temple.
Logan makes a gagging noise, before he reaches over pulling me into a hug. "Morning Baylor, I came by early to let you guys know that I'm headed out to see my mom and a few of my old army buddies. So y'all know where I am instead of just playing hooky."
"No worries, we've only got out six horses and a few rescues right now so it'll be fine. We can manage that. You haven't taken a good break in a while so go ahead." I tell him waving it off as I look between the two men. "Go have a good time Logan." He waves at us before stepping down the porch and walking to his truck. Owen and I walk back in the house, where he sets Austin down letting him play on the ground at our feet.
"Well good morning beautiful. You must have gone back to sleep right after I got up to check on him, since I came back five minutes later and you were dead to the world." He says pulling me against his chest. I rest my head against his chest and close my eyes for a minute.
"Good morning, to you too. And yeah I guess it was pretty fast. What was bugging him? He hasn't been up in the middle of the night for a couple months." I ask looking down at Austin where he sits on the floor pushing a toy duck across the ground.
"He tossed his little bunny on the ground and wanted it back." I laugh and step back running a hand through my messy red hair.
I kiss the corner of Owens mouth, "Happy Birthday handsome husband of mine." I pause grinning at the surprise I have for him. I turn to the stairs where I hear Jenna's little feet coming down the stairs. "Hey there pretty princess." I tell her as I walk into the kitchen to start breakfast.

I sit in the office watching as Jenna colors in her pooh bear color book and smile as I see Owen walking by with Austin in toe. These little kids love their daddy about as much as I do. I smile resting my hand on my belly for a moment thinking about the little surprise that sleeps there. I smile when I see Owen standing next to Jenna looking at her picture and I lean over to pick up Austin. A few minutes later I check the time and realize that it's nap time for Austin. "Alright little monkey. Nap time for you." I tell him standing up, and leading him out of the barn and back to the house. Jenna follows after us holding Owens hand.
"Daddy, the picture is for you. Cause you having a birthday, now you won't feel so old." Jenna tells him as she walks in the door and passes the picture to him before walking back the stairs and to the play room. I look at Owens face and see him staring after her, with a look of confusion.
"Well okay then. Thank you baby girl." He says even though she can't hear him. I walk upstairs and put Austin into his crib chuckling as I see that he's already asleep. Sneaking back into Owen and I's bedroom I grab the envelope from the bottom of my sock drawer. Walking back down stairs I find Owen standing by the fireplace grinning at the various pictures that have built up around the room over the years.
"Alright, happy birthday Owen." I say passing it to him. He raises his eyebrows and tentatively takes it and opens it.
Looking at the piece of paper and then up to me, his eyes widen. "Are you serious....?"
I nod grinning at him, and laugh as he pulls me in to a hug. Before pulling back and resting his hand on my stomach. "Yeah, Owen I'm serious. Congratulations daddy, for the third time."
