"Mom, I know. We've been busy. She just moved in and has been working a lot, I'm sorry."

"I know you want to meet her, you already said that."

"For dinner? Okay, thats fine. We will be there. Love you." 

I hang up and look over at mack who is watching TV with her legs propped up on me. She smiles and giggles a little. I lift her leg and kiss her shin. 

"Your mom seems.."

"crazy? I know. I promise she won't be like that when you meet her. She's really sweet and a very tiny lady."

"It's okay, I'm sure she will be."

"First of all, no I don't think it will be creepy. Second of all, I don't think your neighbors are the type of people to sit and watch us. And third, if they are the type, who cares? I promise no one will see us or hear us."
