"Who's up for a game of cards?" Sam said sitting at the small table in our two bed hotel. There were only two of us sharing a bed, Sam and sully. Nate got the other bed, as for me, I got to sleep on the small, uncomfortable couch.
"Enough with the spade jokes, we get your point," I said leaning back in my seat, my feet now covering the clear spot on the coffee table. The rest of the coffee table was covered with maps and charts of the island. We weren't sure where we'd start, but soon we'll get an idea.
"Fine, guess I'll play by myself," Sam replied. I was gonna say something back but I could see sully shaking his head.
I closed my eyes and began to think about why Sam would talk to me, then ignore me after wards. I don't even know what I did to be honest, he made the first move. I could just be miss interpreting the whole situation and i really could have don't something wrong.
"You both realize the more we sit around and try to come up with a plan I stress of just going with the flow, the more time Articneer is gonna have on placing each of there men around the island," I said opening my eyes again.
"We're 15 miles out from the island, we could easily get there, but I want to get an idea on we're to look, we shouldn't be wasting our time," Nate said staring at the same map over and over again.
"That's exactly what Bryllee's saying kid," Sully added. "We're wasting our time trying to find another path. We should just go and gun it."
Nate sighed and began to role the maps ups. I smirked knowing I was always right.... most of the time.
"Fine, gear up," Nate said putting his stuff away and pulling out some more stuff.
"Boat or plane? I think Bryllee would prefer the boat," Sam said. I didn't bother to look over my shoulder because I could feel his grin burning into my head like he was a five year old pulling my pig tails.... bad analogy but that's how I think of it.
"We'll have to take the plane, we could get to higher ground and it'll be easier to make an emergency escape," Nate said.
"I'll go put the stuff inside it then," I said grabbing the keys from off the table and grabbing a couple duffle bags and cases.
"I'll come with," said Sam... unsurprisingly.
"Of course you are," I muttered a little too loudly.
"Yes, of course I am."
I exited the hotel building and walked to the car, we have to drive to the landing sight because you can't exactly park a plane in a motel parking lot.
"You know you really don't have to ignore me," I said unlocking the car.
"Who said I was ignoring you?"
"Me," I said with and "obvious" tone.
"Well I'm not, just... put that moment behind you and forget about it please," he said assuming I knew what he was talking about, which I did.
"Already have," I said again. I stopped and looked at me for a moment then looked away again.
Nate and sully came down shortly after we did. We all entered the car and we were off towards the port. It's was a silent drive to the port, not an awkward silence, but just a tired silence. We've all been up for hours trying to figure out if there's gonna be any more miss leading events or if we're gonna have to go somewhere different. We probably will, but we'll see I guess.
Once we got to the port we transferred everything to the plane. The plane was definitely beat up from the amount of "adventures" it's been on. Sully's been with Nate from the beginning and the plane has taken them everywhere. I've been with the two of them almsot the same amount of time that Elena has.
