"So, Katie, was your classmate?"

Bryan flashes a small smile on his lips while putting on his polo. He still manage to smile but I know, deep inside, he's mourning.

"Yep. She was a great friend, actually. She helped me with a lot of things and because of her I survived my first school year here in my hometown.

I sighed. I want to take his pain away from him.

Having friends are one of the best things you can have in life but it is also one of the hardest things to let go.

"Don't be sad. Mama said the reason why people go to heaven is because God is in need of angels. Aren't you happy she became one?"

He stopped what he is doing and looked at me. His sweet laughter echoes in my ears and it created a strong sound wave to make my heart beat louder.

My heart only became like this whenever I'm nervous.

I saw Bryan walking closer to me as he comb his wet hair with his fingers. He stopped in front of me and sit on his heels and pinched my nose. Hala?

"You're so cute." He said.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"I know.." I said like I'm used to this kind of compliment.

I'm already used to this, but It sounded different-It sounded so magical when I heard it from him.

"Grab your bag, aalis na tayo."

He commanded me like a strict and perilous general and I, like a soldier who got an important mission from her boss, I immediately followed it.

I'm a bit excited kase!

This is my first day as a grade one pupil and I can't stop myself from imagining the possibilities of having a new friend there. It's been ages since I had played with someone else rather than Danica. Speaking of her, she's currently attending in an international school kaya hindi ko siya magiging kaklase.

"Please, just call me by my name, Bryan."

Tumingin naman ako kay Bryan, why would he say that? Why would he let them call him just by his name? Hindi ba siya papagalitan?

Everyone in this house calls him Sir Bryan or Bryan at kapag may tumawag sa kaniya ng señorito ay agad niyang pagsasabihan ito. I wonder why he dislike being called that way?
