I couldn't help but stare at her. It's been three years since I've seen Lauren, and in those three years, she's changed. She used to wear bright colors, to be this innocent girl, but now, she's all grown up. Her hair was darker, bringing out her eyes, which I used to love, and her hair was shorter.

I cleared my throat, "Uh, so you have english first bell?"

Lauren nodded, running a hand through her hair, "Yeah."

I nodded, turning to Camila, "I'll see you at lunch?"

Camila glanced between Lauren and I, seeming suspicious, but then nodded, "Yeah. Okay."

"Okay," I whispered, pecking her on the lips. Camila got a note from Mr. Johnson, then left the office.

"Here you go, Y/N," Mr. Johnson said, handing me my note, "I already showed Lauren her locker. So just show her where her classes are for today."

I nodded. Lauren and I walked out of the office, and I swallowed, mentally preparing myself now.

"So, how's it going?" I inquired, feeling nervous.

We walked slow, seeing as how we had all day to practically be excused from class. I chewed on my bottom lip, keeping my eyes straight ahead.

"It's going okay, could be better," Lauren answered, "You?"

I nodded, agreeing with her, "Same."

Lauren sighed, stopping in the middle of the hallway, causing me to stop with confusion, "Lauren?"

"Look at me, Y/N," Lauren stated, eyes on me. I kept my eyes on the floor, "Y/N."

I silently groaned, lifting my eyes to meet hers. She stared at me, the corner of her lips twisting upward into a grin. Her eyes roamed all over my body, taking note onto how much I've grown up.

"Wow," she murmured, "You're even more beautiful now."

I felt heat rush to my cheeks, wanting to say the same for her, but I couldn't. I have a girlfriend - so that's what I said.

"Lauren," I paused, "Thank you - but I have a girlfriend."

Even after I said that, her grin didn't fade away. Nothing on her facial expressions changed.

"So she is your girlfriend, Camila, yeah?" Lauren questioned, "She's changed a lot since 9th grade."

"Yeah, I know,"

Lauren hummed, and we continued walking, "How's your family?"

"We're okay," I said, "Yours?"

Lauren shrugged, "Fine, I guess."

I nodded, and then we reached english class. We walked inside, causing all eyes to turn to us. I walked over to our teacher, handing him my note and explaining that Lauren is a new student.

I sat in my seat - but a squeal caused me to look up.

"Oh my god! Lauren!" Normani jumped out of her seat, practically jumping on Lauren.

"Normani!" Lauren laughed, hugging her ex-best friend.

I smiled a bit, but then looked down at my desk, waiting for class to resume.

All day long, Y/N showed Lauren around the senior hallway. Lauren quickly memorized where her classes were. Now, they were heading towards the cafeteria.

Lauren and Normani had two classes together so far, english and art.

When they entered the cafeteria, the two split their ways, Normani taking Lauren to her table, and Y/N going over to Camila's table.

"Hey babe," Y/N greeted her girlfriend, sitting down next to her, "Hey Dinah."

"Yo," Dinah smiled at Y/N.

"Hey," Camila said, hugging Y/N, "How was showing Lauren around?"

"Lauren? As in Lauren Jauregui?" Dinah questioned, eyes slightly wide now with excitement.

"Yeah, as in Lauren Jauregui," Y/N said, "And it was okay - pretty boring."

"Hold on, Lauren is back? Oh my gosh, where is she?" Dinah hurriedly asked, "I haven't seen that bitch in years."

"She's with Normani and them," Y/N answered.

Dinah got up, "I'll be right back."

While Dinah went over to Lauren, Camila turned to Y/N, sighing.

"Y/N," Camila started, "I remember you and Lauren in freshmen year. I can't remember if you guys were dating - because no one said that you guys were. But it always looked like it."

Y/N looked away from Camila for a moment, then back to her, "We never dated. But, to be honest, Mila, feelings were there - from the both of us. We just never acted on them."

"Oh," Camila nodded, frowning a bit, "Are feelings still there?"

"No," Y/N immediately answered, "No feelings whats so ever for Lauren. You're the only one who I have feelings for."

Camila smiled at her answer, "Okay. I believe you."

Camila hugged Y/N, and Y/N hugged her back, softly sighing.

"Get up, hoe! Give me a damn hug," Dinah exclaimed, scaring Lauren as she snuck up from behind.

"Dinah!" Lauren laughed, hugging her friend, "How are you?"

"I'm good, how are you?" Dinah sat down across from Lauren, a smile on her face, "I've missed you."

"I've missed you too," Lauren said, "And I'm okay."

"Dinah," Normani scowled, looking at Dinah.

"Oh, hey, Mani," Dinah grinned a bit, eyes focusing on her ex, "How's it goin', hotstuff?"

Normani rolled her eyes, "Go away, Dinah."

"Hold your horses, gosh," Dinah mumbled, looking back at Lauren, "Sorry about that."

"What happened to you two? You guys used to be like - best friends," Lauren asked.

"We were," Dinah answered, "Then we dated, and then broke up. And here we are now."

Normani rolled her eyes again, "Yep. Now leave."

Dinah groaned, "Okay. Whatever. I'll see you later, Ralph."

Lauren laughed at the old nickname, watching Dinah as she walked back to Camila and Y/N. Her eyes landed on the couple, seeing Y/N kissing Camila, causing her to frown.

"How long has that uh, been going on for?" Lauren couldn't help but ask, nodding over to Camila and Y/N.

"Beginning of Junior year," Normani said, watching Lauren, "You still like her?"

Lauren shook her head, "Nah," she lied, "Just wondering."

Normani chuckled, "Yeah. Okay. Sure."

Lauren furrowed her eyebrows, now looking at the girl next to her, "Uh-huh, dude, I haven't even been in this school for a full day yet and I can already tell you still like Dinah."

Normani gasped, but didn't say anything. She was quiet for a few seconds, "Shut up and eat, Jauregui."

Lauren grinned, "Exactly."
