Chapter 15

We arrived in Nashville later in the afternoon and I headed straight to the venue. Anna was staying in a hotel tonight as she needed to pamper herself as she said and she couldn't do that on a bus. I was actually ok with this as I could be doing with sometime to think and she can be a little demanding at times. I dropped my bags in the bus and I went to the venue.
"Hey buddy" I heard someone say
"Oh hey Brett, how's things, how's Edgar" I asked. I didn't want to bring up Katie.
"Oh I'm doing great psyched for the show tonight can't wait to get back in the road" he said
"Yeah me too it's been a while" I said
"She is here tonight Luke, and just for the record we broke up but we decided we are better as friends which I am totally cool with because she was never really with me if you know what I mean" he said
"Is she ok man. I feel bad about how the way things have turned out, don't get me wrong Anna is fantastic but she ain't Katie." I said
"I know buddy I know" she said bringing me into a bro hug
"Come on let's check this place out" I said
I was actually getting a little nervous about seeing Katie, we hadn't spoke at all since I let, just that text last night.
"Is she still hat home" I asked Brett
"Yeah she bringing the kids later"
"Good" was all I said.
We took a tour around the stadium and I was heading back to the bus
"Daaaadddddddyyyyyy" I heard Caydence call me.
I turned round and I saw the kids running towards me and then I saw Katie and my heart stopped, she looked absolutely stunning my heart skipped a beat and there was that feeling I thought I had lost.
I walked up to her and said
"Hi Katie" and kissed her cheek. Lingering a little longer than I should have
"Hey Luke" she said blushing
From then I knew what I had to do. I had to get me wife to take me back, what what do I do with Anna. Damn you really know how to fuck things up don't you Luke.
