When Amy hugged him she instantly felt okay. She felt at home again. She felt happy. She hoped Josh didn't notice she was kinda tense at first but knowing Josh, she figured he did. When they finally let go, all Josh could muster was "You're here. You came. You're here" and all Amy could do was smile. She was still in shock that she actually did it. But there she was, standing right in front of her long lost friend. She breaks the hug after what feels like forever and she holds him at arms length and starts seeing the differences, he's bigger now, more muscular. His hair is highlighter yellow but he still has the same amazing smile he did way back when. Suddenly Amy gasps and tears start welling in her eyes. Amy noticed the necklace she gave him 7 years ago around his neck and she instantly pulled him into another hug while they both started sobbing. After standing there for an eternity, they finally decide to go talk and catch up on the tour bus.

Amy's P.O.V:
"So Josh. How have you been?! It's so great to finally see you again" I asked. Josh had not stopped smiling and said "it's been pretty good. A lot better now that I've seen you again". My gaze moves back to the necklace and suddenly I felt an overwhelming sense of confidence and out of nowhere I  asked "why?" "Why what?" Josh asked. "Why did you forget Josh? You promised" and with that, the tears started to return. Josh instantly pulled me into big hug and played with my hair. "Well" Josh says "We got so big so fast and very busy. I didn't want to hurt you so I felt it best that I left your life before I did anymore damage than my leaving physically already did. I realized that I was stupid but by then I hoped you'd already forgotten about me. I never forgot about you Amy. This necklace has been on my neck ever since that day, every time we played here in Louisville, I always hoped and prayed that you'd be here.  But you never were. Leaving you was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, Amy I am so sorry." I looked into Josh's brown eyes and knew that every word he just said he meant. The only thing I could think to do was just hug him, he made me feel safe, he made me feel home, he made me feel special, and always made me feel beautiful. He's my best friend. "Josh?" "Yes Amy" "Thank you" I said "for everything" "Anything for you Amy lamey" as he used my nickname from when we were kids, I couldn't help but laugh "still the same old Jish" ~Stay Alive
