Dont let me die

It had been 45 minutes since the crash and everyone at Holby ED where now treating Lily and Ash. Ethan was on his way and Charlie. Rita, a junior doctor named Ida and Cal were stood in the ambulance bay waiting for him to arrive.
As the ambulance pulled up Tamzin opened the doors to the ambulance and Dixie came round to help get Ethan out
"Right this is Ethan Hardy, 28 years old involved in a major RTC. He has a serious head injury and a possible pneumothorax. BP 100/80 pulse 90 gcs 15"
"Ok resus please" Charlie told tamzin as they wheeled him through the hospital

At the scene Connie was losing a lot of blood and they were still unable to get her out
Her hand had become trapped underneath the vehicle and her leg had been punctured by the seat in front of her and at the moment it was not looking good for her at all.
Zoe had been with them at the scene for a good 10 minutes now and Jeff was with the firemen once more helping them prepare to cut the top off
"E....Ethan.... is he.... is he ok?" Connie asked
"I'm sure he's fine Connie. He'll be at the ED now don't you worry. You'll both be fine" Zoe reassured the clinical lead whom she was very worried about
"I need you to do something for me" Connie said in a light whisper
"And what's that?" Zoe asked
"I... I need you to tell Grace... that I love her" Connie replied
"You'll be able to do that yourself Connie" Zoe said
"Then you have to promise you won't let me die" Connie whispered
"I promise Connie. I won't let you die" Zoe said tears forming in her eyes
But they were soon wiped away when Jeff began shouting
"They're preparing to cut the top off now and their gonna lift the vehicle. When they lift the vehicle pull her hand through gently ok!" he yelled
"On it!" Zoe yelled back

Back at the hospital Lily was recovering from surgery on her leg and Ethan was still being treated in Resus
"Is their any news about Connie?" Charlie asked Dixie
"'No. Jeff came through on the radio that they've just cut the top off the car and have managed to lift it to untrap her hand. Now they are working cutting the chair to release her leg and getting her out of there" Dixie said
"And how bad is it?" He asked
"I'm not gonna lie. It's really bad. Jeff said she was asking Zoe to promise she'll tell grace she loves her and then to promise not to let her die" Dixie said
Ok" Charlie replied

After working with Cal on Ethan, Charlie called all the staff around for a chat about the days events
"Right. I know today hasn't been the best days and right now your all looking for good news but I'm afraid I don't have much. I'm gonna start with the bad news to get it out the way... Mrs Beauchamp is not looking good. She has been trapped at the scene now for around an hour and has lost 30% of her blood volume, so please be prepared for the worst. Now for good news. Lily has just come out of surgery and is recovering and Ethan is also recovering. As for Ash and Tess nothing too serious and they are fine. Please be assured that you are all working your best and you are all doing really well. Good job everyone!" Charlie said
Everyone was worried but relieved at the same time. What would they do if Connie died? What would Zoe do if she broke her promise?
