A white rose in his drawer

Taeyang has always been G-dragon's friend. They are friends since a little kid until today. In sadness or happiness, they are always together.

One day, Taeyang visited G-dragon's apartment. That was his first visit to his best friend and childhood friend's apartment. The interior is simple and modern, minimalist to be specific. It actually confused Taeyang for a moment, he thought his apartment to be more atistic like Top's.

Taeyang almost tripped over G-dragon's cat, fortunately he stopped at the right time and prevented himself from falling.

"Hey kitty cat," he said to the cat.

The cat only looked at him with it's cute eyes, not answering, not meowing.

"Eh, chic just like Jiyong huh?" Taeyang said.

Taeyang walked to the kitchen where Jiyong tried his very best to cook lunch for him. The reason why Taeyang didn't join the cooking is simply because it was his birthday. Birthday boy always has priveleges. Taeyang smiled from ear to ear as he watched G-dragon strugling.

"Damn you Bae, if you're not planning to help just sit on the sofa in the living room and chill! You're disturbing me!" G-dragon said.

Taeyang with a smirk on his face walked away from the kitchen and head to living room.

"Good luck bro," said Taeyang.

"Shut up!"

Taeyang sat on G-dragon's sofa and waited for him to finish the cooking. Taeyang took the remote control that was on the table and turned on the TV. He decided to watch something to pass the time.

He kept on switching from one channel to another but there was nothing that caught his attention, everything was boring.

He turned off the TV and placed the remote control on the sofa because he was too lazy to put it on the table.

Suddenly, the thought of Lee Seunghyun came into his mind. 'Where is he now?' he wondered. Taeyang suddenly felt nostalgic as he recalled all the moments he had with the youngest. Tears started streaming down his face, he couldn't help but cried. He realized that actually, it wasn't only Seungri that he missed. He missed the moments he spent with Seungri. He could've spent more times with him, love him, pamper him more. He has regrets, so much regrets. All the things he could've done, he didn't do.

Taeyang wiped the tears away from his face, and stood. He decided to walk around the new apartment to look around.

"Ji, can I go to your room?" Taeyang asked, his voice was loud enough to let G-dragon - who was in the kitchen cooking - hear him.

"Kay , Bae," said G-dragon his voice shook a bit and the 'pang' sound was heard, a proof that proved his struggle. It made Taeyang chuckled a bit.

Taeyang started from the bathroom, it was nice. The bathroom's not too big and not too narrow. It's clean with a bathtub, just like an ideal bathroom.

After finished inspecting the bathroom, he walked to G-dragon's bedroom. Taeyang has seen the kitchen and the living room, plus the bathroom, so the last thing was the bedroom.

Taeyang opened the door and the first thing he saw was grey, metalic grey. The wall's metallic grey, the TV, the sofa, the window, they're all metallic grey. The second thing he noticed was the painting of Adrian Ghenie on the wall just above the headboard of the bed. Adrian Ghenie's painting which has a woman in it that seemed to be screaming, it is a beautiful painting but Taeyang couldn't help but felt it is quite creepy.

The third thing that Taeyang noticed is a drawer that seemed to be out of place, beside his bed. It is a wooden, black drawer, pure black. There is no hint of other colors, only black.

'What are the things inside, I wonder," thought Taeyang. Then he convinced himself that it was okay to open it since G-dragon is his bestfriend, and will always be his bestfriend.

He opened the drawer and looked inside he was surprised to see there was nothing but a single white rose that was preserved in a bottle with a bit of dirt or earth, the rose was planted deep in the dirt. It seemed like G-dragon has been taking care of the white rose with care.

"Why white rose?" Taeyang unconciously voiced out the question inside his mind.

"It's a gift from Seungri," said G-dragon who was standing in front of his door for quite some times, observing Taeyang.

"A gift? When did you get this?" asked Taeyang.

"Last week," G-dragon simply said.

Upon hearing that, Taeyang stared at Jiyong, waited for him to laugh and said it was a joke, but none came. Slowly Taeyang gaze turned into worry, he thought his best friend still couldn't move on from Seungri's death and has gone mad.

"No bae, I'll tell you everything. Let's go to the dining room," said G-dragon who noticed the look his best friend gave him.

G-dragon then explained everything that he experienced that evening, from the dream to the rose. He explained all with a smile on his face and he was content that he has actually met Seungri again. He would like to believe everything that happened that evening is real.

Taeyang who was listening to the story was overwhelmed, no matter what he couldn't think of any possibility except the fact that the white rose is indeed a gift from Seungri. He had a goosebumps all over his body and tears fell down from his eyes which he quickly wiped it away.

"Glad to know that he's doing fine," he finally said to G-dragon after a long silence.

"Yeah," said G-dragon simply.

"I am jealous that he visited you, not me," said Taeyang with a hint of jealousy.

"You know I am his favorite," said G-dragon proudly.

Taeyang smiled, "he never changes" he said.

That afternoon Taeyang and G-dragon spent their day eating and celebrating Taeyang's birthday while remenizing the memories that they share with Seungri.
