i woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ear. i yawned and hopped out of bed. i took a shower and got dressed. i put on a purple shirt that said woodchuck in big letters, short ripped jeans and some lipgloss. i took my hair out of the braids they were in and left it out. i closed my cabin door and took a walk. i stopped in front of grizzly cabin and looked in griffs window. there, i saw him and his new girlfriend laughing. tears formed in my eyes. i sat down on the bench and put my head in my hands and sobbed.
suddenly, a shadow came over me. i turned to the side and saw maya. "you okay?" she asked rubbing my back. i whispered quietly and shook my head. "i don't know anymore." i got up and ran to my cabin. i looked for a blade and when i found one, i ran to the bathroom and locked the door. emma ran after me and tried to open the door. "zuri, unlock the door." she said sobbing. i was sobbing also. "don't do it zuri. please." she said sobbing more. she pounded on the door. "emma, I have too." i cried. i slit the blade across my wrist. the last thing i saw was blood before i saw black.
