~10 Days Later~
Laura's POV:
I woke up in Ross's bed with his arm around me.
I got out of the hospital 5 days ago.
I'm still sore.
We're supposed to get a call soon to find out who killed Vanessa. Until then, Rydel is still in jail.
I lifted Ross's arm off me. I slowly sat up.
I hadn't broken any bones. I had bruises all over me. And cuts.
Ross woke up.
Ross: Good morning Laur.
Me: Morning.
Ross: Are you feeling ok?
Me: I feel a bit better.
Ross: Good.
Me: Ross? How much longer until we go back to California?
Ross: About a week.
Stormie: (yelled from the kitchen) I GOT THE CALL! WAKE UP, I GOT THE CALL!
Me: Oh my god!
I stood up, but lost my balance. Ross got out of bed and quickly caught me. He picked me up and carried me bridal style into the main room, where he set me down on the counter.
Rocky and Riker came out of their rooms.
Rocky/Riker: Good Morning.
Stormie: Ok. We're all here. Laura, how are you feeling?
Me: Blah
Mark: Well, the doctor said you should feel better in 3-4 days.
Ross: Ok...so?
Riker: Ya, who killed..Vanessa?
Stormie: Well, (sighed) it was Maia.
I knew it. My eyes teared up. I missed her so much.
