A burly figure strolled through a dark, mysterious cavern. His armored boots clanked with every step he took. Trailing behind him was a much shorter, yet older, looking man with a scar on his nose. "Where are you headed, Arcadios?" spoke the aged authority.
"To confirm a suspicion of mine, Darton," replied the knight.
"Oh, boy. Just what are you so suspicious of now, Arcadios?" Darton sighed, heavily, not knowing if it was really worth his time.
"It concerns those Milagros men."
Darton raised an eyebrow. "What of them?"
Arcadios stopped and gave him a look, as if to say that the reason was obvious. "Ever since they brought their prince here in hopes of earning Princess Hisui's hand in marriage, I found something rather peculiar about them," he explained.
"Or maybe it's simply your paranoia and over-awareness getting the better of you."
"Why would a kingdom so lacking in magic hope to come on good terms with one thriving in magic? It's clear that if we'd gone through with the proposal, they'd take advantage of our power."
Darton looked down in thought. "But after the princess's refusal, their plans of using us should've gone down the drain, am I wrong?"
Arcadios turned towards a highly secure door. "I doubt they'd let us thwart their scheme so easily." The knight pulled out a key and opened the door, walking inside. He narrowed his eyes. "Well, Darton, isn't that strange?" he said.
Darton stepped inside and gasped. The shelves and storage areas were completely vacant.
"Don't...don't tell me... Arcadios! You actually believe that-
"-they wiped our arsenal by stealing our highly classified and remote magical items and doses through an act of theft? Yes. In fact, I'm sure it was them."
"Our draining substances, sedation darts...everything!" Darton exclaimed in fury. Arcadios nodded. He opened a steel cabinet. A man of ordinary strength would have no luck in being able to open it and witness what was inside.
"This storage area held the extremes. And incidentally, it's empty, as well," Arcadios noted gruffly. Darton looked even more surprised. "You don't mean the magic viruses, the mind distorters, and...even the-
