Hey viewers! Yes, I've got some nerve to show my face around here after neglecting you for three whole weeks. Sorry 'bout that by the way! XD
Since I truly do feel bad about that, however, I've decided to make it up to you by writing an extra long chapter! This will be twice as long as my normal ones which are at least 2000 words. So this'll be 4k to 5k! Hopefully this pleases you guys!
Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail! This series belongs to Hiro Mashima alone. Besides, if I had owned Fairy Tail...let's just say things would've gone differently. ^_^
Please enjoy Chapter 31! Gosh, I've made it so far!
~~Two Months Later~~
A kingdom once writhing in thirst, scarcity, turmoil, disorder, and instability now thrived with beauty, health, maintenance, and most importantly, happiness. Milagros had transformed completely thanks to recent events, though not so recent, as many have chosen to forget such incidents.
Among the lively gardens engulfed with blooming flowers, chirping birds, and merry creatures, lay a familiar woman.
She lay against a tall tree, sitting in a relaxed position as she peacefully read her book, Ice-Cold.
Juvia Lockser wasn't much of a reader, but she found this book rather intriguing. It was a tragic love story about a girl whose heart had been shattered by the one man she loved truly, madly, and deeply. She ran away, hoping that she could forget the pain he caused her, only to find herself in more pain, as everything around her reminded her of him.
After a hefty plot filled with drama and emotion, the man finally came to term with his feelings, and the girl decided she could forgive him.
Every time Juvia read the end of the book, it filled her with great sadness. After the two mended their bond, it was severed once more...
When the man dies.
Juvia sighed as she closed the book slowly after finishing it for the third time. For some odd reason, while the end was meant to be tragic, and pulled it off nicely from a reader's point of view, it always seem to put her on edge.
She saw herself in the girl. She felt a connection to the story in a way she couldn't explain. It was strange because Juvia had never experienced such things as the girl had.
Not that she could remember, that is.
She didn't get a chance to further ponder the matter as she heard footsteps approaching her. She turned her head slightly and smiled at whom she was met with. The figure smiled in return.
"You know, the castle's library is filled with amazing works of literature I'm sure you're bound to enjoy. Why do you only concern yourself over that one in your arms?" Aldie asked, good-naturedly.
Juvia thought for a moment. "That's a good question," she commented as she rose up from against the tree. "I wish had a better answer than 'I don't know.'"
Juvia looked up at Aldie once more. "It was Aurora's favorite, wasn't it?" she said softly. Aldie nodded, his smile not leaving his face, much to Juvia's relief. "It was," he confirmed.
Juvia nodded slowly. "I guess I just enjoy the plot," she explained. "But it does hurt me to read the ending. I just get consumed by a wave of emotion from it."
Aldie chuckled a bit. "Aurora was the same case. She'd say, and I quote, 'It's just so SAD, daddy! Like, the feels! Oh God, the feels are real!'" Aldie imitated in a poorly done high-pitched voice.
