Chapter 3

Amelia's POV

How i hated this voice early in the morning the constant ringing of my alarm. Yesterday as always I was busy with office work and couldn't sleep early and now thinking of waking up makes me feel dead.

But this annoying alarm won't get off, i stretch my arms and sit on my bed my back leaning on the headboard of the bed. I rub my eyes so that they can gather up the strength to open .

I'm seriously not a morning person. I go to the bathroom and take shower and do the basics . When i came out i checked the time i still have half hour for office. I may be the boss but my punctuality will make my workers punctual too .

A towel wrapped around my body i come to closet walk. This was one the most hard decision of the day that what to wear . I remembered that today i have a very important meeting the one i had been waiting for.

I took out a grey long knee length skirt with same grey tank top , i let my hair fall freely and grab a set of black heels. With a light makeup i check myself in the mirror. I was satisfied with how i looked so i grabbed my bag and was ready to leave.

Breakfast was never my thing so it was not in my early routine to wait and eat. Seeing me coming out of the house my driver opened the door for me i thanked him and made my self comfortable in the car . In no time i was on my way to office.

My most favourite part was when i entered the office how gabby my security guard would always tell me to start the day smiling and the happy and smiling greetings i get when i enter the office. With a smile plastered on my face i enter the lift and press the T button for the top floor.

As i enter my office Hailey knocks at my door to come in. I tell her to come in and she seems overly excited over something. I greet her to which she greets back happily. I stare at her and raise my eyebrows at her to ask the reason about her cheery mood.

She hands over me my coffee and excitedly says " i hope you remember today is the big day".

I couldn't help but to think and say " as far as i know today is not my wedding"

" wedding is not only supposed to be the big day " she said with rolling her eyes. Well she and Sam are the only ones with whom i can take this rolling eyes otherwise i hate this gesture.

"Then enlighten ma Hailey what's the big day about " i asked.

"How can you forget Amelia, you have meeting with the Styles company the day you had been working for from the last few months" she said hurriedly.

" i know Hailey and I didn't forget about it. Its just I don't want to think greatly of it or it will make me nervous " she nodded her head in response.

" Have you gathered all the important papers related it ?" Hailey asked

" yes as far as i know i did but can you please take a look and check if everything is in the file." She once again nodded her head and left to check on the file.

I turned my chair towards the early morning view of New York from my office window with my coffee in my hand. It was always beautiful, I couldn't help but to admire the beauty of this breathtaking view .

I was about to turn when my phone rang I quickly turned my chair and grabbed my phone . I checked and saw grandpa was calling me. I gave myself a mental slap how I forgot to call him yesterday. I quickly picked up the call.

" Hello, my beautiful Amelia " grandpa said with so much love.

"Hey Pa ! How are you doing?" I asked.

" I'm doing good my dear. Tell me about you how is everything going ? I hope you are not burdening yourself with work ! " he asked

"No grana everything is good here! I'm going to meet the Ceo of the Styles company today" I told him because i knew that his words will boost up my confidence.
