A Withered Rose

Chapter 6

Amelia's PoV

I was standing by the side of my office window and enjoying the beautiful view in front of me . I was so deep in my thoughts that the knock on my door went unnoticed by me . The person on the door knocked again with more force this time .

My consciousness came back and I turned my head I told the person to come in .
My business manager Mr. Lockward entered and greeted me. I greeted him back.

"Ma'am the Ceo of the Styles company is here to see you" he said .

For a second I didn't know what to say . I didn't know that Mr. Styles will take such a short time to make a decision.

" Lead them to the meeting room , I'll be there in a minute". After listening me he rushed out of my office.

I took a deep breath i saw my self in the mirror to see if I looked good enough. My leather jeans was hugging tightly on my legs and my white shirt hanging loosely on my shoulders which was tucked in my jeans. The red heels I was wearing completed the look I wanted.

I hurriedly took the file from my desk and left for the meeting.  I entered the room and all the eyes were set on me . I greeted everyone.

Mr. Tyler gave me a genuine smile which i returned whole heartedly. Whereas Mr. Styles as always had a straight face put on .

I sat on one of the chairs before I could speak Mr . Hoclein spoke .

"We are here to discuss the deal , your deal was very convincing but there are few things we need to discuss " he said

I nodded my head saying "Sure" to them .

Now the boss thought to say something . I don't know if this man even smiles or not . While i was thinking this, his voice brought me back to the topic .

"Ms. Rose first of all i would like to clear this issue that if we agree to this deal how we will work for 3 months . As you know its not easy to communicate from different buildings" when he said this i nodded because i had already thought of this issue .

" well as i said before we will have separate teams for this work . Those teams can either work at your place or mine . Its for you to decide" I told him

He sighed and look at Tyler sitting on next chair to him to which he nodded.

" Ms. Rose as you know two companies joining their name means two CEO's of the company will be working together. I want to ask if the CEO of the Holland company would like to be at the same position with me or second position" His question took me by surprise but before i could answer he continued.

"And I would have really liked to meet Mr. Holland before this deal. As you know such big deals shouldn't be dealt by employees" He had the same hard expression on his face.

This made me laugh slightly to which he at once saw at my face. I turned my face to Mr . Tyler who had a smile on his face too showing his perfect teeth.

"Mr. Styles i guess you didn't catch my name properly when we first met . I'm Amelia Rose Holland . The CEO of the Holland company and the granddaughter of Mr. Roberto Holland" i said quite laughing .

With my answer He was taken aback . He was staring at me as if i had commit some crime. 

He was still looking at my face when Mr. Hoclein said " We apologise for the misunderstanding " he said while smiling widely. It was evident on his face that he was trying his best to control his laughter and the fact that he knew I was the CEO of this company.

I shook my head saying " it's alright it's not a big deal" .

" And to answer your previous question i leave this decision on you to make"
