Ethans POV

+

My brother was dead. Thats all i could keep repeating when i was driving to our old house

outside of beacon hills.

How could this happen? We sacrificed everything. This was supposed to be a good thing.

A good plan. It went wrong so quickly.

As i finally arrived, i got out of the car and put the key into the house as i heard music

playing softly from a room above, our sister, Alexis had no idea the news i was about

to give her, and i didn't know how she would react. she never went to beacon hills

with us, so scared of leaving her friends, she didn't understand the urgency we had,

once we killed our whole pack, we needed to leave. She understood, but she kept a safe

distance from us, and now she could never say goodbye to her brother.

i slowly made my way up the old wooden stairs, each step creaking louder when my weight

was applied onto them. i got to my sisters door, and i stood there for a minute, scared if i should

tell her or not, scared to how she'll react. but i hesitantly turned the white knob and pushed the

door open, revealing my brown haired sister sitting cross legged on the floor, reading a book

while her speakers blared a upbeat song i didn't know. she suddenly looked up at me,

and her face lit up.

"Ethan!" she yelled, putting her book down and standing, running over to me and throwing

herself on top of my body, wrapping her arms around my neck and putting her head

on my shoulder, while i wrapped my strong arms around her waist and breathing in her

scent, something i didn't know i missed till now.

she pulled apart and looked at me with her honey colored eyes,

"wheres Aiden?" she asked me, i looked down at the floor and slowly pried her arms from

my neck as i sat her down on the bed.

"E, i asked you something" she reminded me, looking puzzled.

"aiden, h-he" i sighed, not sure how to break it to her. She was so fragile, so

small compared to me i thought she just might break from hearing the words.

"ethan? you're scaring me"

"aiden is..he's um...he's"

"just say it! please"she whispered the last part, staring into my eyes

as if she knew what was coming.

"aiden is dead" i said, and it sounded more real as i said it my eyes closing,

a small tear going down my cheek, and as i opened them, all i could see was my sister,

staring at me with her eyes wide, unblinking, as she gripped my hand i didn't even

know she was holding, tighter, till her fingers turned white, but she didn't seem to notice

at all.

she had this faded look in her face, and tears streamed down her open, frozen eyes, who

were now looking into nowhere, somewhat glazed and lost.

suddenly she took a sharp breath in and she gripped my shirt, slowly falling to the floor,

while she sobbed loudly and uncontrollably, as distraught as id ever seen her, while

she whispered "no, no" over and over again, until she screamed, so loud i had to

cover my ears, "NO, NO HE'S NOT DEAD' HE'S NOT DEAD" and she clutched me tighter,

falling into my grasp as she sobbed and sobbed, eyes looking everywhere, expecting

him to come out of nowhere, happy to see her. and it broke my heart, knowing she'll

never be able to live that moment again.
