ALEXIS POV

+

ethan had already told me everything about beacon hills. about deaton, scott, stiles, lydia

and basically everything else supernatural, and i wasn't surprised, considering my brothers

could morph into one werewolf.

it still hurt, like an open wound that would never close, just sitting there, burning and

aching everyday and all day. everything reminded me of him, his scent, his favorite

books still lying in his unmade bed, eating at the table was painful as well, the open spot that

sat across me an ethan never to be filled again.

it was lonely, but me and ethan were now basically attached at the hip, though it wasn't the

same. it was like we were both missing one of the most important things in our bodies, and

all i felt during the day was sadness and despair.

often i got angry at myself, for leaving him, for letting him leave, for being too selfish and

stupid to see the real danger they were walking into.

i was studying when i heard my door open and the tall muscular guy i called my sibling

walked in, with only a towel wrapped around his waist and his brown hair sticking to his

head, he looked at me without saying a word until i spoke up

"is something wrong?" i asked,

"when you leave..ill be right beside you, okay? im renting an apartment in a building nearby,

if-if anything happens, please call me, okay? i-i can't stand loosing you know, too."

"yeah, i will" and with a quick smile, i turned back around and continued my work,

hearing his footsteps fade away and my door slowly hitting the doorframe, not fully

closed.

- time skip to day of leaving  -

my bags were black.

ethan helped my stuff my heavy backpack into the back of his trunk, as he pulled out his own

from our small doorframe, taking one last look at the house, resting calmly in the middle of the

woods where no one could find it. he looked at me one last time before putting the last of our

things into his 4x4 and opening the door for me, and i hopped up, once settled i smoothed out

my jean skirt, adjusting aidens beacon hills lacrosse sweatshirt he never wore over my hands,

instantly warming them and bringing tears to my eyes as i smelled his familiar scent, quickly

wiping them off when ethan turned on the engine and i looked at my make up in the mirror

on top of the car before signaling with my head that we should go, and i watched through

the rearview mirror as our blue house slowly got smaller and smaller, the brown dust engulfing

it till making it disappear altogether.

i closed my eyes and leaned back, but i couldn't keep them closed for long, images of aiden

and the creatures named the oni who killed him flooding my brain, how i imagined him leaning

against the wall of a small roof in the school as my other sibling pressed his forehead, asking

if this hurt him as much as it hurt him. so i kept my eyes awake during the whole trip to ethans

hotel, afraid of my dreams of my brother dying in the arms of his own twin.

once we got to my brothers apartment i got off, feeling the morning sun radiating off

my shoulder, heating my chocolate colored hair and warming everything but my heart.

we walked the stone path to the entrance and e was passed his keys to the room, he

turned around just before going up a long walk up the stairs, and dropped his bags,

wrapping my in a hug and pulling away to look into my eyes and say

"are you sure about this?"

"positive. it'll be okay e, i promise" i said to him, giving a warm smile as i caressed his

cheek and hair tears brimming my eyes once again as i hugged him for the last time and

wondered how it was going to be without him, and concluded what was going to be the

longest year of my life.
