True Feelings/The Begining

Narrator's Mind

Years have passed, with Hiccup, Astrid, Snotlout, and Fishlegs now 19 and the twins 18, and the stone structure forgotten by Hiccup and Astrid

They've flourished in their relationship, with all in Berk (even Snotlout haha) happy for the two lovebirds

Over the amount of time, they've built a little hut at the cove, spending most weekends with each other

Toothless and Stormfly have gotten to where they just leave the two alone on the weekends, taking them to the cove and then coming back a few days later to retrieve them

Hiccup and Astrid also train, sharpening their skills and getting stronger

Hiccup has acquired muscle throughout training, allowing him to use strength along with skill that he has acquired

He's quite proud of himself, although Astrid hasn't really noticed the gradual change in his muscle tone

Speaking of the two lovebirds training, they're at it right now

Hiccup's Mind

Astrid is really working me right now

The weight of her ax is really unfair when we spar, allowing her to drive my sword into the ground if I'm not careful

She came at me with a vertical overhead strike and I parry, leaving her open

I take the chance and tackle her to the ground, dropping my sword and wrestling her ax from her grip

I eventually get a grip on her wrists and force the the ground

By our sparring rules, automatic win

"I fall for that EVERY TIME" she says

"Yeah" I say. "I don't know why you do" I laugh

She smiles at me, leans in and kiss me

I get up, reaching a hand out to her to help her get up

We head to the hut, since we train in the cove. Sun was starting to set

Astrid and I had our respective rooms so we could have a little privacy, but it not like we used them when we slept. We have gotten comfortable enough to share a bed.

I had set up a room that allowed water to run freely, although I don't think I'll tell anyone in Berk about it. I don't want to waste years trying to manipulate water to every house in Berk to do that.

Astrid went in first, cleaning herself after our spar. It gave me some time to think

We've been together for nearly two years now. Time sure does fly by when your time is spent with the person you love

We've only said it once to each other when we first told each other

Our actions prove that we do, so there's really no need to say it

I turn around and see bare back as Astrid wraps herself, and I quickly turn back around, my face hotter than the sun

Astrid's Mind

I finish wrapping myself and turn around to see Hiccup's back turned to me

"You can turn around Hiccup" I say

"I... Uh... I'm good" he says

I just giggle

"I'll head in and take my turn" he says

"Ok" I still giggle

He heads into the shower, so I let the towel fall to the ground

I put fresh clothes on, thinking about how these two years have been with Hiccup
