I turned off the desk light. The room was dark, with only weak light from the stars and the moon. I sat in silence for a moment, listening to the soft sound of Jeremy's even breath.

And then he turned. I held my breath as the blankets ruffled along with his moment. He mumbled something under his breath. And he was quiet again, as still as the faint light tracing the lines of his face.

I carefully stood from my seat, making minimal noise to avoid waking him. My bare feet was silent against the wooden floor. I made it to the door of my room, hardly stirring the air in the room, and was about to twist the door knob when he spoke.

"Zelda?"

His voice was croaked and husky, making my freeze. I thought I must've heard wrong, or he was just talking in his sleep, but he said it again, among the gentle sound of blankets against the bed sheets.

"Zelda? Is that you?"

"I'm sorry I woke you up," I said quietly, turning to face him. He was half lying, half sitting up his- my bed, supporting himself with an elbow while rubbing his eyes with the other hand.

He yawned. "What time is it? I thought you said you'd be going to bed after a bit of work."

"I just finished working," I admitted while he check the time on his phone. The light from his phone hurt my already tired eyes, but I didn't look away from him. He groaned and dropped himself back onto the bed after that, pulling the blankets up again. I watched every moment quietly. "I'm just leaving."

"We can share the bed if you want," he said with closed eyes, sounding lazily and sleepily. "It's two in the morning. You should be in bed."

"It's fine. Just go back to sleep," I reassured him, wanting to blush just at the idea he put in my mind. "Good night, Jer."

He hummed, but didn't reply. He was asleep again.

I crept downstairs and brushed my teeth at the shower sink. I crashed on the hard leather sofa afterwards. It didn't take me long to fall asleep. I didn't even have time to think about how I wished I had taken up Jeremy's offer before I got knocked out by slumber.
