~Mia's POV
...I feel something new...It's like...some sort of power coursing through me...could it be Mai?
The mention of Mai sent shivers up my spine. Thankfully, that didn't seem to be the case. This power felt more...comfortable.
Nevertheless, I continued forward. Now wasn't the time. It was time to protect Star from the intruders. They were close.
"Shouldn't we get the boys?" Amber asked. Siren reacted back. "Of course not!" She exclaimed.
"Shhh!" We all whispered. "I mean, of course not. It's time to show them that we're strong, too."
Everyone was hiding near the trees, some behind, some above. Miracle was even lucky enough to dig herself a hole to hide in.
The enemy composed of a dozen or so Beheeyem, a few Liepards and Manectrics, and leading them all...was a female Pyroar.
Team Flare had come back. For Star.
"That's a lot of them. We're kind of outnumbered." Lotus said nervously. I was hiding behind the same tree as her. "Don't worry. As long as we work together, they won't know what hit 'em."
I still felt weird, but I couldn't let that get to me right now. I had to make sure that Star and the others would be alright.
Speaking of Star, where is she? I looked up to find Star in the trees. Hiding, ready to ambush the enemy if need be. She was going to partake in this battle, too.
The enemy was getting closer and closer with each step. They were only a couple dozen feet away now.
"Get ready." We concentrated ourselves, awaiting the time to pounce. The enemy approached even closer. Suddenly, the Pyroar stopped, and ordered the others to stop.
She sniffed the air, along with her Liepards and Manectrics. This made me worried. Could they smell us? Would they ambush us instead?
Then, all of them turned to the trees and snarled. "Come out." The Pyroar demanded in our direction. I was right. They DID smell us.
Before I knew it, however, Snowflake beside me set up a Blizzard on them. That was my cue. Regaining focus, I also used Blizzard.
It mostly affected everyone but the Pyroar. A lot of them were blown back, but the Pyroar remained still, not even blinking.
Suddenly, a wild Flamethrower melted our combined Blizzard. We were shocked at the Pyroar's strength. She smirked. "You'll need someone a who's, shall we say, NOT weak."
Then, Amber tried to use a Psyshock on her. It hit her, but seemed to do almost no damage. "Heh. Pathetic. You lot aren't even worthy being called Pokemon."
Enraged, Siren let out a powerful Sparkling Aria. We dodged most of it, and it hit every enemy in the area.
Except for the Pyroar.
She gracefully dodged it, and unleashed another Flamethrower. It was at Siren's direction, who barely dodged it. She smirked again.
"Don't get your hopes up, Primarina. My voice is far better than yours." Suddenly, she leaped into the air, above all of us...
And let out a Hyper Voice.
Shocked, we all covered our ears, trying to suppress the loud noise. It seemed hopeless, however, as the voice was doing plenty of damage on all of us.
All of a sudden, Siren broke through with her own voice. Her Sparkling Aria collided with her Hyper Voice. It had turned even louder. The two voices were deciding on who had a better voice.
