Gerdur kept asking questions. "What's happened? And who's this? One of your comrades?" You smile while waving your hand.

"Not a comrade yet, but a friend. I owe her my life, in fact. Is there somewhere we can talk? There's no telling when the news from Helgen will reach the Imperials..." Ralof said.

"Helgen? Has something happened...? You're right. Follow me." You follow her toward a huge tree stump. "Hod! Come here a minute. I need your help with something." You looked around to see who she was calling for, a man that was up in the mill.

"What is it, woman? Sven drunk on the job again?" Hod reply.

"Hod, just come here!"Gerdur yelled while turning to face the man.Hod looked over from the mill, his eyes widen when he saw the two of you. "Ralof! What are you doing here? Ahh...I'll be right down."

You walked by the river side, while Ralof took a seat on the tree stump. You knee down towards the water to touch the flowing water. "This land is truly lovely." You said while picking up a small frog.

"Are you not from Skyrim?" Gerdur asked.

"Yes, this would be my second day here, I am (name). It's nice to meet you." You put your hand out for her to shake it. She took your hand and shock it.

"Forgive my questions if it seems rube.... but what is a high elf doing helping a Stormcloak?" The frog that was now trying to get free, you sat the small creature back down beside the water.

"I do not find it rude, I've been asked many questions like that. " You lead against a large tree that were still standing. "I have nothing against my people, but I don't care for my government."

"Uncle Ralof!" A boy with blonde came running over with a small wolf of some kind. "Can I see your axe? How many Imperials have you killed? Do you really know Ulfric Stormcloak?"

"Hush, Frodnar. This is no time for your games. Go and watch the south road. Come find us if you see any Imperial soldiers coming." Gerdur told her son.

"Aw, mama, I wanna stay and talk with Uncle Ralof!" Frodnar reply to his mother

Ralof got up from the stump and pick up the boy, the boy giggle." Look at you, almost a grown man! Won't be very long before you'll be joining the fight yourself."

"That's right! Don't worry, Uncle Ralof, I won't let those soldiers sneak up on you." Ralof sat down the boy and he runs off.

"A brave son you have there." You told Gerdur, she nods as a reply.

Hod was here now, he places a hand on Ralof shoulder."Now, Ralof, what's going on? You two look pretty well done in."

"I can't remember when I last slept... Where to start?" Ralfo moves  Well, the news you heard about Ulfric was true. The Imperials ambushed us outside Darkwater Crossing. Like they knew exactly where we'd be...that was.." Ralof head was all over the place, you then spoke up.

"two days ago, now. We stopped in Helgen this morning." You said with your arms cross around your chest.

"Aye, I thought it was all over. Had us lined up to the headsman's block and ready to start chopping." Ralof nod his head.

 "The cowards!" Gerdur said.

"They wouldn't dare give Ulfric a fair trial. Treason, for fighting for your own people! All of Skyrim would've seen the truth then. But then, out of nowhere...a dragon attacked!"

"You don't mean a real, live..." Hod was astounded by Ralof words.

"I can hardly believe it myself, and I was there. As strange as it sounds, we'd be dead if not for that dragon. In the confusion, we managed to slip away."

"Are we really the first to make it to Riverwood?" You ask with a worried tone in your voice.

"Nobody else has come up the south road today, as far as I know." The blonde woman replied

"Good. Maybe we can lay up for a while. I hate to put your family in danger, Gerdur, but.."

"Nonsense. You and your friend are welcome to stay here as long as you need to. Let me worry about the Imperials. Any friend of Ralof's is a friend of mine." Gerdur turns to face you. "Here's a key to the house. Stay as long as you like. If there's anything else you need, just let me know." She tried to hand you the key, but you refused.

"I will only put your family in danger." You said. "But if there is anything that I do for, just say."

" There's something you can do for me. For all of us here. The Jarl needs to know if there's a dragon on the loose. Riverwood is defenseless... We need to get word to Jarl Balgruuf in Whiterun to send whatever soldiers he can. If you'll do that for me, I'll be in your debt." Gerdur said with hope in her voice.

"Will do." You bow your head before Ralof spoke up.

"Thanks, sister. I knew I could count on you."

"I ought to get back to work before I'm missed, but...did anyone else escape? Did Ulfric..." You had become worried at this thought.... if Ulfric is dead then who will be the leader of the rebellion?

"Don't worry, I'm sure he made it out. It would take more than a dragon to stop Ulfric Stormcloak" Ralof reply while getting up.

"I'll let him into the house, and, you know, show him where everything is.." Hod said.

"Hmph, help him drink up our mead, you mean... Good luck, (name). I'll see you later brother." With that, Gerdur walked away.

"Don't worry about me. I know how to lay low" You followed Ralof into the town, to a cross road. "I told you my sister would help us out. " Ralof turns to face you, he points at the road to your left. He points at the road to your left. "Take that road. That road will take you to Whiterun."

You took his mid arm and both of you shook each other arm. "I hope to see you in Windhelm. Good luck. May the gods watch over your battles, friend."

"May the gods watch over you and your family." You pulled up your hood and made your way down the past toward this city of Windhelm.

You came close to this grand city of  Whiterun, you were walked by some farms when you hear some shouting. You saw this huge man- well you couldn't really tell. All you knew that it was attacking some people. You made a bow appear in your hands, ready to fire at any given time.

A man was knocked down and was about to be hit by the Giant's club."Oi!" You yelled out, the giant turns its head to see who had yelled. You shot the arrow right in between its eyes. It fell to its knees away from the man that was on the ground.

The nords that were fighting the giant just stood there, studying you almost. The woman with a boy came running toward you. "You handle yourself well." She said.
