Chapter 10 - Best Friends

Lily's POV

My eyes slowly flutter open & I see a chest right in front of me. I look up & see Harry with his eyes closed & sleeping soundly. What happened last night? We didn't by chance do anything, did we? Oh man I hope not.

His arms are wrapped around me securely. His chest rises up & down slowly & his eyes slowly open. It takes them a little while to adjust & he looks down at me.

"Harry.." I say to see if he can hear me.

"Lily.." he repeats the same way I did.

"Um...we didn't like do anything last night, right?" I question playing with his shirt.

"Oh, you don't remember? Am I that bad in bed?" He frowns. My eyes widen & I quickly stand up onto the floor. I look down & see i have all my clothes on & so does he. He bursts into laughter & that's when i realize he's playing.

"Lily.." he laughs. "I'm just joking. You only asked if you can lay with me & so you did. Your hair smells great by the way." He gives me a genuine smile.

"Oh thank goodness." I say releasing a big breath.

"I would've killed you two if you had did something," Adam says & our attention goes to him. He gets out of bed & starts walking towards the door.

"Only if I was in the room. But when I'm not, feel free to do whatever. I ship it." he winks at me before shutting the door & leaving. My eyes widen again & I look over to Harry & he's doing the same.

Harry's POV

I stand inside of the parents room as they tell me the game plan for today. Everything last night that happened, it was nothing. I took a few defense classes so I knew how to help when other were in danger. We were supposed to tell them that I was a spy & the truth about everything but they told me I couldn't just yet. It was too soon.

I told them how Lily isn't believing the part about me being her cousin so they came up with something along those lines. I'm a really close family friend so I'm called their cousin out of respect. If any of that made sense.

It was 10:00 in the morning & I was just hungry. Like can I be done with this? I just want food dudes. I get all of this is important but do we have to go over this one hundred times?

"....& that's how it'll go," Michael finishes for the hundredth time. I let out a deep breath & smile because i can finally eat.

"So do you get it now or do we need to go over it again? You know so you can fully under-"

"No I get it. Family friend, not cousin, respect, helped, self defense, I got it. I got all of it." I reassure them.

"You're really helping us out here Harry & we really appreciate it. Max picked a great man. I wouldn't have wanted it to be anyone else," Michael says smiling at me with his hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks. It means a lot coming from you," I say giving him a small smile.
After a few more minutes talking about anything we leave the room & talk about the rest of the week.

I'm just ready to go back home. How is this going to be a vacation when i still have to manage that this family is safe? They finish talking to me & I head to my room & lay on my bed. Lily & Adam went out for a swim on the beach but I think it'd be nice if I get a little bit more sleep in. But as soon as my eyes shut i get a text message on my phone. I look to my right on the night stand & grab it checking what it is.
