Misha woke up in the morning to the gentle puff of Jensen's breath across his neck, his fiancé's arms wrapped around him from behind. Their legs were tangled together underneath the white bed sheets as the sunlight streamed from the window and through the blinds. Birds were chirping outside, signaling it was a nice day out.
He was ready to wake up to this for the rest of his life. The protective arms wrapped around him, the feeling of his significant other's breath ghosting over the back of his neck lightly as he slept.
He didn't dare move, in fear of waking Jensen up. Misha didn't mind laying there for a little bit. It gave him time to think about things.
Last night had been amazing. The proposal had obviously happened, which was something that was completely unexpected. But it was a welcome surprise. Then, when they had gotten back to the hotel, they had some pretty mind-blowing sex, late into the night. And finally, after they were both worn out from the night's activities, they finally did end up cuddling. They had fallen asleep in the same position they were currently in.
Misha's mind drifted back to the fact that we're engaged. Fucking engaged. He never thought that they'd end up here, let one dating each other. He remembered when Jared and Gen had gotten engaged. Jared must've been the happiest man in the world for about a month and a half straight. He literally could not stop smiling. (He did stop smiling to get into character and film, of course. But immediately after the director called cut, he was beaming again.)
He wondered if him and Jensen would be like that. Nonstop smiling for at least a month.
His thoughts continued drifting, landing on the topic of weddings. And that's when it hit him. They were gonna have to have a fuckin' wedding at some point. They would have to start planning for that soon.
From what he remembered from Jared's wedding, it took a lot of thought and effort to plan a wedding. Even the smallest details had to be perfect. Gen had spent several hours fussing over if she wanted the centerpieces on the tables facing one way over another direction. And that had been pretty stressful for her. He was sure there were countless other things that she had spent worrying about. Misha felt like it wa—
He was cut off from his own thoughts by the feeling of the man starting to stir behind him. His arms tightened around Misha, and his nose pressed against the nape of his neck.
"Morning." Jensen croaked out, his voice deeper than normal, due to sleep. "How long have you been awake?"
A small smile spread on his lips as he heard him talk in his morning voice. "About an hour now."
"Should've woken me up." His voice rumbled. He reached up with a hand, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. He pressed a gentle kiss to the back of his neck.
"Nah. You seemed so peaceful." Misha rolled over in his arms, smiling up at him.
Jensen returned the smile. "We need to start planning the wedding soon."
The shorter man nodded in agreement. "I was just thinking about that, actually. Remember how stressed Gen was with her and Jared's wedding? I don't want that I be us." He murmured, reaching up to cup Jensen's face, thumb rubbing across his cheek.
"I don't want that to be us either. We'll definitely hire a wedding planner."
"They hired one too. But that didn't stop her from being stressed." Misha pointed out.
"Well, she wanted it to be the perfect day. I don't blame her for being stressed." Jensen replied. "For now though, I think we should pick a time to have it. We can get into the details about that later, but we should pick a month."
He considered it for a minute. "How about July? That's when we first met each other all the way back in season four."
"That sounds great to me." He leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.
Misha savored the feeling of his lips against his. He loved their lazy morning kisses. They were still so full of sleep, and they were just.... soft.
After a while of their lips moving lazily against each other, the shorter man pulled away. "We should probably get up and check out from he hotel." He suggested.
Jensen almost whined at the thought of actually getting up. "Ugh, fine."
Misha disentangled himself from his fiancé's arms, swinging his legs over the side of the bed and standing up. When he heard a wince coming from the other side of the bed as Jensen stood up, Misha couldn't help but snicker. "Your ass sore yet?"
"Shut up." He groaned, walking awkwardly over to his bag to get some clothes out. His knees were even farther apart than they normally were as he tried to find a comfortable way to walk.
Misha laughed. "Good. Better get used to walking like that, or all the fans will know what's up when we leave the hotel."
"Fuck you." Jensen murmured affectionately.
"That's the plan." He winked before heading into the bathroom to take a shower.
