Chorus
Welcome to the streets of the Villa
A trip to my childhood and to the moment now when I live
Train tracks, cars to the mass, planes far into the sky
This is my life
Verse 1
As my childhood made me feel like a self invicted criminal
Cuz of my birthmark people were so critical
Was I at one after all
I admit they had me questioning
Found myself at the train tracks once again
Grafitti on the columns even though it was faint
Others down that same path
So I didn't feel alone, so alone
Blessed I made it past twenty one
With such a unique way of life under the sun
Propeled motivation in life cuz of God
Quotes of life living right before me
Each chapter brings many of them out
Brings me up when I feel I am down
Verse 2
In the adolesance years I was tryna find myself
My writing felt like it was hidden in stealth
Cuz I got a job, and had to walk in the rain
I worked so hard yet the work ethic was in vain
Sick with the flu yet I was still walkin'
Cuz I had to provide for myself and others, so I kept going
And when I was finished for the day I couldn't sleep so I was zoning
Looking at sheets of paper coating together the clay
Scuplting the city
Describing how it looks like to me
Coming together is the Villa
Place of tribulations yet it brought words
Chorus
Welcome to the streets of the Villa
A trip to my childhood and to the moment now when I live
Train tracks, cars to the mass, planes far into the sky
This is my life
Verse 3
Brought words of fire like July fourth
The meaning so powerful I feel that I knew what it was since birth
I knew that you just had to be you
That self righteous figure
Looking at life tryna see the bigger picture
Closing in to what is the past
Remembering what my g ma taught me
Love and dream, and so I did
All I'm tryna do is just live
I just want to live
Hold my lady in my arms and let her know I'm never leaving
She literally is my everything after all she has been there for me for
One who truly makes me happy
I finally feel at home gladly
Verse 4
I lived in many towns
I've seen different faces
Look in their eyes and see they've been many places
A time crafting canvas
Cuz were people tryna find our purpose
And I did that ever since I returned to the Villa
The place where I discovered who I am
A moment found through distance
The time there are more do's than can't's
The time you don't have to run and jump over the fence
The vision is never done spent
The meaning endless
Chorus
Welcome to the streets of the Villa
A trip to my childhood and to the moment now when I live
Train tracks, cars to the mass, planes far into the sky
This is my life
