Laugh Away (Poem)

With every move I make,
Every single mistake
They are watching me
They are haunting me
Well you know what?
I will do what I want
I don't care if who is watching
I don't care who is reading
I don't care what you have to say,
Laugh away, laugh away.
I will speak my mind
Even if you find
My words seem untrue
So long as I am not trying to harm you
Which I hope to never have reason to
As I don't want to do
The awful things they did
I don't want to say the evil words they said
Because revenge is just an excuse
To leave those who hurt you bloodied and bruised
So to those of you who still watch me
Still pointing and laughing,
I don't care what you have to say.
Laugh away, laugh away.
This is my life, I will live it how I want
Just keep in mind that
When you hurt those close to me
You are hurting me
Two times over again
You will cause me more pain
Than you ever had intent to cause
So I hope you realize
That my hate will be far stronger
Luckily, I don't let my rage spread farther
Because as Gandhi states in a world full of lies:
"An eye for an eye only makes the world go blind."
