Pattie unveiled a blue plaque on Tuesday 23rd May to commemorate the time George lived on Claremont Drive, Esher, with Pattie at what was Kinfauns. Although the house was substantially demolished and rebuilt,the original windows were kept (as pictured). Above are some photos of George giving Kinfauns it’s psychedelic paint job, and Pattie unveiling the plaque.

In 1964 George Harrison bought Kinfauns, a bungalow in Esher Surrey, for £20,000.

He moved in with his wife Pattie Boyd, experimented with acid, painted the place in psychedelic colours, and recorded demos for the Beatles’ seminal White Albumon his four track reel-to-reel – sessions later made available in various bootleg releases.

Boyd and Harrison were arrested here in 1969 for possession of hash, and Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithful dropped by, found no one at home and painted ‘Mick and Marianne were here and we love you’ on the front wall.

In 1970 Harrison moved to Friar Park and Kinfauns was demolished and replaced.
