What Doesn't Kill You

What can I say except that you were vexed?

It went from being together one day,

To becoming my enemy the next.

Because of your words, I'm alone today.

And you said you wanted to watch me burn.

You said it was my fault. It was all me.

I could not speak... just watch my world upturn

So I thought of what I could rearrange.

From the memories you created dark

Came freedom, vengeance, and some kind of fate.

Now because of you, I will make my mark.

I am stronger and better from your hate.

From your darkness, I became a fighter.

And now I will burn, but I'll burn brighter.
