i love it when you brush my hair
when i feel your fingers in the strands
you don't pull too hard
and when you kiss the top of my head
you say it smells nice
but what you don't know
is that i think you have the nicest smell
i sleep with your shirt
so that i never forget what your scent is
i lay there and it's almost like you
are right next to me.
and if you were there,
your heartbeat resting near mine,
you would stay up and watch me sleep
and your hand would be in my hair.
