Update story. Not used for much anymore and was the most active in 2017. It's mostly just me rambling about stuff or posting updates regarding certain things. I post theories and stuff related to my interests sometimes.

So, I was listening to the song from the Steven Universe episode Island Adventure, and I saw people are comparing it to the Wanted event. I thought it would be interesting to compare it to something else:

The way the backgrounds were in the episode were definitely stunning and beautiful. Also the fact that they (Steven and Eyeball) were literally under more than a thousand shining stars.
Isn't it nice to find yourself somewhere different, Whoa, why don't you let yourself just be wherever you are.
If I'm not mistaking, this is the first episode where Steven is technically "in space" (because this is the first time he's actually in open space away from Earth and there's no oxygen except in his bubble) and it was definitely nice to find a new location in the show. (I know Steven wasn't exactly shown to enjoy it but I think you get the idea)
Look at this place, look at your faces. I've never seen you look like this before.
There's a few things I can compare this to, Steven's behavior as well as the gems. Steven seems to behave like himself, yes, (other than the beginning of the episode where he's arguing with Eyeball) but look at the episode near the end. Steven seemed to loose hope once he released Eyeball.

And now the gems, we've seen them worried about Steven before, but not like this. They were most likely extremely worried for Steven, because he could've died in space. Judging from how it zoomed out, Steven's been in space for a long while, so no wonder the gems were worried.
Also we've never really seen them cry like this up until this episode

Even Garnet was crying, imagine how worried she must've been, she could've saw possibilities of him running out of oxygen, she could've even seen him getting stabbed and poofed by Eyeball.

The gems were very relieved to find Steven, they were most likely overjoyedthat Steven was okay.
