Sassy Much???

When I got to school the next day, I was literally smiling from ear to ear. I got some weird stares but nobody could ruin my mood. I was actually in a relationship! Jacob is my first boyfriend. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy that I am in the 11th grade and just got my first boyfriend. But hey, does it really matter?? I think not.

"Wassup Aaliyah?" Leah says, walking up to my locker with a textbook in one hand and a bottle of water in the other.

"Heyy Giiirrl," I say smiling and slightly shoving her. " What is going on??"

"Um. Nothing much...I guess," she chuckles. "Why are we so happy this morning? You do realize it is Tuesday...right?"

"Yes I know that but today could be a good day...you never know." I say pointing at her with my index finger.

"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But you still didn't answer my question," she says leaning her left shoulder on the lockers. "What's up with the smiles and giggles this morning. This is not normal."

"Oh yeah. I'll tell you later. I have to get to class." I say slamming my locker shut and jogging to my first class.

When I walk in I scan the class and everything looks normal. But then I notice Jacob and smile.

"Heyy Aaliyah!" he says as I sit into my chair, placing my books on my desk.

"Suuupp Jacob," I say playing with his hair.

"Ooooh you know. Just thinking about this girl." he says in sort of a dazed tone.

I don't know what it was I got this feeling in my stomach. I've never felt this way before. And to be honest, I did not like it....at all.

"Who??" I say curiously.

"Only the nicest and prettiest girl in the world," he says before smirking at me

"That's nice," I say slightly irritated

"Her name is Aaliyah." he says looking at me.

" Really Jacob," I say chuckling. "I was over here getting upset and what not." I say as I shove his head slightly.

"Now why were you getting upset?" he says taking my right hand in his left hand, intertwining our fingers. "You know you are the only one for me." he says sincerely, looking into my eyes.

"Yeaaah I know," I say playing with his hand. " I guess, hearing you talk about another girl made me jealous."

"My Aaliyah is jealous," he says in a baby voice. "It's o-"

Before Jacob could finish his sentence, he was hit with a paper wad from across the room.

" Stop that lovey-dovey nonsense," Craig yells, making a sick face.

"Can you just shut up, Craig?" I say in a irritated tone.

"Oh look, Little Miss Loner has a voice," he says with a smirk. "Shocking surprise." he says causing the class to stare and snicker.

"I've always had one," I say in a bold tone, staring at him intensely. "I just decided not to use it on irrelevant, wannabe jocks."

After that sentence, the class erupted into a bunch of "Ooohhs" and all the attention went back onto Craig, as he sat back into his seat in silence. I felt pretty good that I stood up for myself and Jacob. Being that I'm always letting people run over me.

Just then Mr.Brown walks in, looking appalling might I add.

"Goodmorning class," he says in a grim tone. "Today, I'm not in the mood. So, you guys have a free period."
