If you already know how to read xReader fanfictions, skip ahead to the next part. If you don't know how and have never read one before, I've included some helpful tips below.
This book is an xReader (obviously).
In an xReader, you are the main character, and often you will be addressed by other characters as (y/n), which stands for (Your Name).
In this space, you will insert your name. For this example, I will use the name Abby.
I was sitting alone by a tree when I heard Naruto yell my name. "(Y/N)! Sensei is looking for you!"
The sentence above would be read like this:
I was sitting alone by a tree when I heard Naruto yell my name. "Abby! Sensei is looking for you!"
The parentheses format is also used for other things like eye color, hair color, height, weight, and many more.
Here are the formats (and their meanings), that I will be using in this book. This list will be updated whenever I add a new format.
(Y/N) ~ Your Name
(H/C) ~ Hair Color
(E/C) ~ Eye Color
(Y/L/N) ~ Your Last Name
(Y/H) ~ Your Height
(Y/W) ~ Your Weight
(Y/F/C) ~ Your Favorite Color
I hope this helps a lot for those readers who are new to fanfiction, new to xReaders, or just need a few tips to write their own fanfics.
