Sunburn{2}

I rolled over and groaned at the pain of the sheets scratching against my skin.

"My god." I said as I yanked the blankets off and pulled my large tshirt up revealing the burned skin of my stomach. It had doubled in redness since the night before when I went to bed. I felt Shawn's weight shift beside me and he tried to wrap and arm around me but I quickly pushed it away.

"Ugh babe." He flipped his head over to face me and squinted his eyes at the bright sun. His cheeks were a deep pink as well. "What's wrong?" I grabbed his hand and placed it on the hotness of my tummy from the burn.

"Sunburn." I said simply before touching his cheek gently to see if there was any heat to the redness.

"Ugh I bet I'm burnt too." He rolled over and pulled down the covers to reveal his bare chest. I winced as soon as I saw how red it was.

"Why are we so dumb? Who let us spend a whole day at the beach with only one application of sunscreen?" I asked rhetorically. Shawn groaned and rubbed his face before making a small hissing sound.

"Even my face is burnt??? I have a show tonight! I'm gonna be literally miserable." He groaned before ripping the covers off his body and standing up. His toned chest was as red as could be.

"I'll call your mom. I'm sure she knows something that can take the burn out fast." I grabbed my phone before dialing her number.

After talking to her for about 15 minutes and explaining how this happened, she told me about 5 different things to try.

"Tea bags?" Shawn made a face at the idea of rubbing tea bags on his chest.

"Better than burning babe." I shrugged.

2 hours later we were still in pain but luckily not as much. "If we ever get sunburned again, I'm rescheduling the show." Shawn said as he sat in front of the air vent with aloe thick on his burns.

"It's fine because we're never getting this burnt again."

Fun fact, in 2015, I went to Shawn's concert when he and here and I was sunburnt and it was in a bar and they sold too many tickets so it was too crowded and people kept bumping into me and I really just was in a lot of pain but I smiled through it bc SHAWN F-ING MENDES
