Almost all women get periods. Most girls start them between the ages of 9 and 17 and they usually stop between the ages of 45 and 55. This time in your life is called menopause. Most women have a period once a month and they last for about 3-7 days. For the first few years after you start your period they might be irregular. This means they might not happen every month. When I first started having periods I could go two weeks in between having a period and then go 2 months until my next. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Earlier I said almost all woman have periods that's because transgender women and some genderfluid women don't get periods. Transgender men can also get periods. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Remember, if you have any  worries talk to a woman you trust about them. They know the struggle!
