Katniss' P.O.V

It's Friday morning, the day of the election. I'm absolutely dreading today. We find out who the new president is. It must be very late, as I can't hear Peeta or Willow or Rye laughing and talking. I roll over and check the time. 8:45am. The kids must have just left. I get up, put a plain grey top on, black jeans, and brush my hair out. I drag myself into the kitchen, reading the sweet note left on the table. 'We have just gone to the school. Be back soon, didn't want to wake you, as we know today will be stressful for you. Love you lots- rye X willow X Peeta X ' Aw cute, I think to myself as I quickly make my breakfast. I shove it all down, and go finish off getting ready, so I look presentable. Effie, and Haymitch are coming over to watch it with us. We have them over quite often, as the kids love them, and they are their god parents! Haymitch is much more sober now, unless there is free or on offer alcohol, typical. It will take them about an hour to get here,  so they will be here around 12. They will stay the night, staying in a spare guest room, because the election ceremony goes on until quite late.

It's now 12, so they will be arriving soon. Me and Peeta tidied up when he came home, and got their room ready. I went out and bought some alcohol, for Haymitch, for after the election. I'm incredibly worried, I just hope that snow's granddaughter doesn't get it. Cressida is running for the election, and I really hope she gets it. She is fair, intelligent, understanding, hard working, and a great leader. After all, she helped lead us to freedom! A knock at the door breaks my thoughts and
I quickly run to the door, exited for who is behind it. As I open it, a massive smile spreads across my face, as Effie pulls me into a loving hug. "Katniss!" Meanwhile, Haymitch and Peeta are also greeting each other. "Effie we have all missed you so much!"I say in exited as ever. "I have missed you so much!" Peeta says. "Haymitch!" I say, gesturing for him to come over. "Morning sweetheart." He says in that raspy, mocking voice. I roll my eyes, now is not the right time. After Peeta and Effie have greeted each other we all gather round the kitchen table, and just chat and catch up. Eventually, the time comes when we need to pick up the kids. We told them that Effie and Haymitch couldn't make it, and they were so disappointed. I quickly slip on my shoes, and Peeta does the same. We go to the school, my fingers entwined in Peeta's, Effie's in Haymitch's. Yes, they are together, and now married! We all got to go to the wedding and it was one of the best things ever! They now share a house in the Capitol, as Haymitch moved there with her. We stand where we always wait, with Effie and Haymitch hiding around the corner.
