I woke up early which for me is very strange

I got up, got dressed just like any other day

Then someone told me that you were moving away

The shock hit me so hard I had nothing to say

It felt just like a bomb exploded in my face

The jagged shrapnel lodged itself into my brain

You always helped me get through all my toughest days

You were the one who helped me keep my head on straight

Distance between us makes

Me think a lot about you

As the world seems to change around you

And I know that

I won't be the same without you

Now as the time goes by nothing will feel the same

Something that was always there has been taken away

But even though you're gone these memories won't fade

Our friendship lasted so long I wish it wouldn’t end
