Falling into Jade

Chapter 1

Batchi always asks me kung ano na daw plano ko sa buhay. Hindi naman daw habang buhay nakadepende ako sa magulang ko at hindi na rin daw ako bumabata.

"Alam mo Althea. Sayang ka.. nakapagtapos ka pa naman ng business ad. Pero your just wasting your knowledge in this.." sabay turo sa TV sa harap ko. "Nagiging pabaya kana ha. Hindi ka naman ganyan dati.." dagdag nito.

"Batch. I need time okay.." I said.

"Time? Ilang taon kanang ganyan Althea. Ilang taon na ba ang lumipas. Uhmm... 3-4 years? Hindi pa ba sapat yun?" She said and positioning herself beside me taking the chips in my hand. "Alam kong mayaman kayo Althea and I also know na mayaman ka kahit hindi ka supportado ng parents mo."

"I am not just yet ready Batch. I don't know where to start." I admitted.

"I am here to help you Thea. What are friends are for right?" She said welcoming me in her embrace. I cried and cried and cried over again. The pain is still here. She's still here in my heart.

"I missed her." I confessed.

"Hussh now okay? It's been a 4years Althea and I think its time to start a new life.. a new begining."

"I can't. I don't know why but I just can't."

"I understand pero when the time comes na pag nagkita kayo kunyare ha? Kunyare lang naman. Tapos malalaman niya na naging pabaya kana sa lahat tingin mo makikipagbalikan sayo si Jade? Magugustuhan kaya niya ang ginawa mo sa buhay mo nung mawala siya? Hindi diba? So my advice to you my friend... Go fix yourself!" She said tapping my right shoulder.

Natahimik nalang ako sa sinabi ni Batchi. I lost my goal when I lost Jade. This isn't me. Kinain ako ng takot at insicurities. Di na ako umimik pa instead I stood up and walk towards the ref and get some beers.

"Cheers?" Sabay abot sakaniya ng beer.

"For what?" She said raising an eyebrow.

"For a new beginning." I said in finality.

"And for a new romantic." She added.

"What?!" I said in shock.

"Just kidding.. but first you need to be back in shape. Go hit the gym!" She teased wiggling her eyebrowse.

I am lying in bed alone. The silence killing me. And I can't help but to remember how did we met.

-Flashback-

I am with Batchi and she's taking me to the club because Abby invited us dumating daw kasi ang kaibigan niya galing states and she's staying here for good and I don't care why.

"Hoy Batchi Luna! Wag ka nga masyadong excited. Napaghahalataan ka niyan ee." I said and rolled my eyes at her.

"Napaghahalataan na?" She asked.

"Na patay na patay kay Abby. Tsss! Ilang oras lang kayong nagkahiwalay di kana mapakali. Parang kanina lang magkasama kayong kumain ng hapunan." I bitterly said.

"Mag love life ka kasi engot!" She teased.

"Sinong engot?" I said.

"Ikaw! Hahaha... tara na." Sabi nito habang hila hila ang kananh kamay ko papasok sa club.

"Hi Mahal." Bati ni Batchi kay Abby.

"Uyy. Buti napilit mo si Althea you know she's not fan of this..." tukoy nito sa ingay at gulo dito sa loob ng club. "Sorry Althea ha."
