Shades of Summer

She stood miles high,
And wore the yellow cloak.
Wrapped it like the love she lost,
Full of hope,
She is ready to fly.

Sat beside her companion,
She complains
Too much of love she rains,
All goes in vain.

Some bask in her companion den's
As she shares the love of them.
Some flee away
Love makes it harder to stay.

The joy, the thrill,
She sees in their face.
The sigh and the kill,
Face another race.

But she knew not how to end,
For love is all she gave.
While some prays for the rays,
Some treasures the rainy days.

While some prays for the rays,Some treasures the rainy days
