Part Two:
[Anna]
My legs trembled as we stood in the elevator, the image of Justin's face in my head. My heart felt like it was going to pop out of my chest in a minute. I tried to keep my emotions in, biting my bottom lip trying not to break down and cry in front of Jacob.
"Anna..." I hear him calling my name.
"I-I'm f-fine Jacob." I sniffle, wiping my nose.
"No you're not." He says, pressing the emergency button on the elevator causing it to stop.
"I-I said..."
"Don't lie to me." He says. I keep my head away from him.
"W-what d-do w-want m-me t-to say?" I stammer.
He sighs, taking a step forward.
"You love him?" He asks.
My heart skips a few beats.
"Wha-what?"
"I didn't stutter. Do you love him?"
My entire body was trembling at the moment.
"Anna..."
"Yes!" I sob out. "Yes..."
I cover my mouth, sliding to the floor of the elevator.
"Oh Anna..."
"He doesn't love me, Jacob. He doesn't want me. He just wants sex. That's all." I choke on my words.
My heart aches with pain and fear.
"Have you told him?" He asks getting to my level.
"Yes... Over and over and over again, but... He just won't say it back. And it breaks my heart everytime. But he doesn't care."
I feel Jacob's arm around my shoulder.
"I'm sorry Anna." He says.
"I just... Wish he would love me." I say wiping my tears.
"Don't worry. He will. He does actually."
"How do you know?" I ask.
"I saw his face. He was hurt. Very hurt."
"Ugh... You probably mistaken that look for relief." I chuckle.
"No. He was hurt." He says. I sigh, calming down from my emotional breakdown.
"Thank you Jacob." I say hugging him.
"No problem girly. Now how are we going to explain this delay to my husband?" He says pulling me to my feet.
I laugh. "Oh we'll think of something." I say as he presses the emergency button, starting the elevator again.
"Thank god! What took you guys so long?!" Daniel says as we meet him in the lobby.
"Sorry babe. Anna had a little moment." Jacob says kissing Daniel.
"Oh my god. Boo boo are you okay?" Daniel asks me.
"Yeah. I'm good now." I smile.
"You still wanna go eat?" Jacob asks.
"Uh... Nah. I'm gonna head home." I say.
They both hug me before they leave. I hear the elevator door open and I turn to see who's coming. My body freezes as Justin steps out, looking directly at me. I turn on my heels, heading out of the building, Justin hot on my trail.
