Hey y'all! Literally so sorry about the shitty time it takes for me to update, but now you all have it and it's interesting and yeah. Love you all!
Liam's POV
I was awoken by my mother shaking me. "Liam, it's time to get up." I looked around. I was still in the bathtub since last night. The ice was all melted but I felt calm for once this week. "C'mon dearie, let's get you outta there," she said as she held as towel. I stood up and she tossed the towel on my head. "I have to go make breakfast. Now hurry up."
"Yeah ma I will." I swiftly got dressed in my usual attire of jeans and a tee shirt.
My phone went off as I picked it up. It was Alex texting me.
A: Hey so my eyes are platinum. Care to explain that one?
L: Morning to you too. It happens. I'm that way today too. You ok with the werewolf thing?
A: Yeah yeah. You're a big fluffy wolf who totally wants to get into my pants and when you do, I get to be a big fluffy wolf too.
L: I'm. Not. Fluffy.
A: Aww did I make the big bad alpha to be self conscious?
L: -.-
A: I'll take that as a yes. But you're my big bad fluffy alpha to be.
L: :) yay
A: I'm leaving for school, see you soon.
I placed my phone back into my pocket and headed down the stairs. It was eerily quiet, but then I heard stressed voices coming in from the room where Johnathan and Cole were. It sounded like they were about to get into a heated argument, again. So I grabbed the breakfast my mom had made for me and tried to get out of there as quick as possible. However, as I left that's when Johnathan started yelling at Cole.
"Do you think I wanted someone like you to be my mate? I knew you were stupid to think that but even that's a new level of pathetic." I froze in the threshold of my front door, yet what spurned me to turn around was the sniffling I heard. Needless to say I knew it was Cole. I felt so bad for him. I myself was thankful that Alex didn't reject me like Johnathan did to Cole. I walked over to the metal door and Cole choked off his sniffling. My father was sitting at his desk, drinking his coffee staring at me. I felt his gaze, yet I did not turn around to look at him. I reached over to him telepathically.
"So how long are they going to be like this? I'm tired of hearing Cole weeping at all hours of the night. I don't know how much more he can take."
"I don't know Liam. I thought that they would've cut their shot out by now, but Johnathan continues to surprise me in all the wrong ways. I was hoping that them mating would fix their initial behaviors towards one another, but I suppose not. If Johnathan persists like this, I fear that he will become physically violent towards Cole and then we need to separate them. Although if we do that, I fear what would come after. "
"I wouldn't know what would come after either, but hopefully it's better than this. Can you see their bond?"
"Of course I can Liam, you should be able to, too. Since you are going to be alpha, you have to know your people. They know I can do that, but they trust me, because I leave certain things private. You'll figure it out, but right now for these two, it's extenuating circumstances. Look for their bond."
"Ok."
I reached into Cole's mind, and looked around his brain for his bond to Johnathan. I could see it faintly, and then Cole figured out I was snooping.
"What are you doing Liam? I'm not in the mood to be picked apart more than I already have been." I felt a pang within my own chest. He was my friend and this was the least that he deserved. I kept snooping and before long I found the bond. It was like that of a frayed rope and it looked ready to snap at any moment.
