Marked (Pt.3) Explosions

"Annabelle!"

"Anna!"

"I can't believe you are alive!"

"Your father is so happy you're here."

On and on people approached me and I hated it.

"How do you feel?" Asked David walking up as motions for me to follow him outside.

"Annoyed." Falling in step with him as he heads to the table that sat off to the far right of the pool, "When you were little did your parents every drag you to family events or work gatherings and you really didn't want to be there?"

He nods.

"That's how I feel. This is stupid, and unnecessary."

Smiling looks at him phone as he says, "Well hopefully I'm able to change that."

Raising a brow at him I ask, "What are you trying to do David? And where did you just come from."

Tapping his ear he says, "Wait for it."

Confused I extended my hearing as I listened. Chatter from the party and laughter was the only thing that filled my ear.

"David what am I-"

Pressing a finger to my lips he smiles, "Listen."

Rolling my eyes I closed my eyes and listened again. It took a minute but that's when I heard it.

"What are you doing here?! Who let you in?" I could hear Robert yelling.

"Don't worry Uncle Rob, I heard the party was a little drab so I'm hear to bring in some fun."

I could help to grin from ear to as Liam's thoughts connected to mine.

Asshat said you needed excitement, so I brought excitement to you.

Just as I started laughing music began blaring in the air as I could hear what sounded like a dozen of teenagers cheering.

"David you didn't! How?" I asked.

"Paid the gate teller off as I gave her a sleeping pill and she gave me the keys to the gate. Keys that I just so happened to leave for Liam and the pack to crash in with."

"What am I going to do with you David?"

"Save me a dance." He smiles, "And Maybe a drink."

"Deal." I laughed and we made our way back to the house.

"Pollyanna!" Liam cheered as he holds up a glass of what I assumed was champagne.

Hugging him as I drew close he smiles as I say, "Thank you."

He nods, "Let's tear things up a little eh?" I nod as he grabs my hand and spends me out before pulling back in, "Let's dance."

Drinks were spilled, music blared, and everyone began to enjoy themselves, despite Robert being pissed. It was a distraction I desperately needed as he made me forget about the mark temporary.

Minutes went by then hours and before I knew it Robert tapped me on the shoulder, "It's done."

My eyes widen as I smiled, "Yah?!"

Robert nodded as he moves my shirt showing the mark was beginning to fade, "You passed."

Letting out a sigh of relief I looked over at David as he says, "Well done love, we should start heading out soon."

I nod as I walk over to Liam who was leaning against the wall.

His eyes meeting mine he says, "Let's go for a walk Polly."
