When you start out as a Tailor, you start to work mostly in the Castele Workshop. Which is totally fine, until you start to rank up.
When you do, move to Madam Purl's House in Port Puerto and work there. That way, you can get the Port Puerto items easily. Then, buy some Marine Thread and move to Al Maajik (Ranking Up).
If you know what I'm saying, everytime you rank up you get new crafts, and they start to head to needing more materials from Port Peruto or Al Maajik.
So just work in Al Maajik, and except for a couple times you shouldn't have to leave town that often.
I stayed in Al Maajik until I ranked up to the Hero Rank.
So try that, if you want.
