"He was just telling me a bunch of crap about how werewolves are stronger in packs," Scott explains to me the next morning.
    "And?" I raise an eyebrow.
"And what?" my brother crosses his arms.
"And what else?" I cross my arms, mimicking his stance. "I know there's more that you're not telling me."
"Right, because you're psychic," Scott rolls his eyes.
"No, because I'm your sister," I roll my eyes right back at him.
"I think he broke my hand," he looks down at his fingers.
    "Why?" I ask.
"He told me that pain keeps me human," my brother shrugs.
"And do you believe him?" I hold onto the edges of my cereal bowl.
"Well, he reminded me that when Allison's dad shot me in the woods, I changed back and that when he hit me with his car, I changed back -" my brother starts.
"Whoa, whoa, wait," I throw up my arms. "When did you get hit by a car?"
"When I went to Allison's after Stiles kept the wolfsbane in the Jeep," Scott tells me. "I was – I was running away from her house as he was pulling in and – and -"
"So, pain makes you turn back," I set my bowl next to the sink.
    "Apparently," Scott furrows his eyebrows.
"Then, is that the secret to - to staying human on a full moon? Pain?" I put the milk back in the fridge.
"Maybe. I don't know," Scott says. I sigh, leaning against the counter.
