"It's just weird," Allison says, looking around the hallways. "Everybody's talking about what happened the other night, and nobody knows it was us."
                              "Thank god," I chime in.
"Thank you for the protection of minors." Lydia smiles and looks up at the ceiling, as if she's thanking the universe.
"Do you guys think I made the wrong decision?" Allison asks us suddenly. I press my lips into a flat line. Do I really want to give Allison my opinion her breakup with my brother? We made it through the entire sleepover without mentioning or werewolves or Derek. I didn't even get anymore visions after I left to "pee."
"About that jacket with that dress? Absolutely," Lydia answers. I look at Allison's outfit. I didn't think it was that bad?
"You know what I mean," Allison says.
Lydia sighs. "Hello? Scott locked us in a classroom and left us for dead. He's lucky we're not pressing charges or making him pay our therapy bills."
Allison sighs as the second bell rings.
"What about you? You're his sister. You know him better than either of us," Allison asks me. "What was he thinking?"
"He just wanted to keep us all safe." I drop my shoulders. "He's an idiot like that, but he's got everyone's best interests at heart – all the time."
"Well, I better get to class." Lydia smiles at us and walks away.
"He's taking the breakup pretty hard, too," I add before walking down a side hallway, even though we're going to the same class.
