I had not recuperated yet from the shock at what he said when I got more shocked at what he did next. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang bigla niya akong hinila, idiniin sa pader ng fitting room, at saka dinaganan ng katawan niya nang biglang hanapin at tawagin kaming dalawa ni Lily.

“Elie? Kuya? Where are you?” she called out, at nais ko na lamang na himatayin sa sobrang kaba nang marinig ‘yong yabag ng mga paa niya na tila ba papalapit sa kung saan kami naroroong dalawa ng kapatid niya.

“What are you doing? She will see us here! Siegfrid—”

My words were just muffled when he covered my mouth with his palm.

“Be my date,” he insisted.

“No—”

I swallowed thickly when he moved closer to me, so close that we were already breathing each other in.

“Siegfrid,” I helplessly called. “Let me go!”

This was a blackmail!

“Be my date,” muling giit niya.

“Kuya? Elie? Where are you?” Lily called out once more.

I panicked hearing her footsteps nearing more where we were. Pabalik-balik ang tingin ko kay Siegfrid at doon sa kurtina ng fitting room, kabado na baka bumukas iyon at maabutan kami ni Lily dito sa loob. However, he was not even afraid of us being caught. In fact, it seemed like he was enjoying this.

“Be my date,” he asked once more.

We locked eyes, waiting for whoever would surrender first. He was not bothered, not in the slightest, however, my heart was already through the roof right now.

A wicked smile broke out his lips. Nakahinga naman ako nang maluwag nang sa wakas ay bumitiw din siya at saka umalis sa pagkakadagan sa akin.

“I’ll go out first,” he said while the corner of his lips remained twitched up in a playful manner. “Anyway, you look stunning in that gown. But Eleanour, your know how I can be possessive.”

Napasapo ako sa dibdib at napasandal sa pader nang makalabas na siya.

“Kuya? What did you do inside the fitting room?” I heard Lily curiously asked.

“Nothing. I just thought I lost my phone in there, nasa bulsa ko pala,” Siegfrid replied.

“Oh, okay. But have you seen Elie?” tanong ni Lily.
