Who is God?

God?

When I was a little girl

I asked my father

A question that baffled

Even the smartest man alive

He couldn't answer me

He just stuttered and stared

"Well sweetie, I don't really know"

I wanted an answer

I needed an answer

But I knew this one time

In my life

I wouldn't be getting

What I wanted so badly

This was the one thing

I wanted to know so badly

But I knew I would never know

Because people were so uneducated

As I grew older

I asked multiple people

Only to find

That they knew only as my father

You wonder what I asked

That night

I'll tell you

So listen closely

I asked him that one eve

A question filled with wonder

It was as simple and juvenile as

"Who is God, daddy? And why'd he kill my mother?"
