First Love Part 1

If I had one more chance

One last phone call

One last dance

I would tell you I loved you

I would whisper it softly

And watch you shiver under my touch

The pleasure would be phenomenal

But I already used that chance

Now it's gone and I can't bear it

I loved you

And I still do

I know we're young

And amazingly juvenile

But I know what I feel Is real

I miss you

I love you

I want you back

Please understand I love you and I can't live without you

But since you're gone I can't do anything

So go on with your life

And forget me

Because the memory will only slow you down

First Love Part 2

I'm twenty five now

I've fallen in love with a new man

And I'm bearing his child

But I still think of you

All of my children have moved out

Now I live in an empty house

My husband died a few years ago

You still cross my mind from now and then

I lay here

On my death bed

I've lived my life

Long and hard

Now it's time

For me to leave

This earth

And let whatever happen to my body and soul

Oddly enough the last thing that I see before I pass

Isn't my children

Nor is it my husband

But I see you

The boy that I cared for so very much

I see the two of us

And we're sitting in the school yard

Laughing and paling around at our place by the bridge

Then I saw us

When we had our first kiss

Under the large willow

We were at camp with our classmates

Our lips met

And it was magic

And it was our last goodbye

Forever

Then the white light flashed before my eyes and I was in a different place

I sat on a front porch

Surrounded by our children

I'm cradling an adorable blonde boy

You sit next to me and smile

You whisper in my ear

So softly it makes my heart flutter

This would have been our life

If I had stayed
