You'd Think I would Be Able To

I can't breathe

I try to regain my sanity

They all look at me

With cold stares

Now that you're gone

I feel nothing inside

I remember the time we hung out on my front lawn

We sat close, side by side

You promised me you'd never leave me

And I took your word

Then you turn around and say you don't understand

I can't believe you, what you're saying is so absurd!

You left me here

But I guess I can't blame you

It really wasn't you fault

It saddens me, because there's nothing I can do

I've cried for months

Cried myself to sleep

Because I know I'll never see you again

My love for you was so deep

When you left

You took a piece of my heart with you

I'm expected to get over you

But here's the thing, I can't
